Guest ChikoDemono Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Is it just me, or was that the biggest clusterfuck Ring of Honor has ever produced? There were fourteen people in that match, and it still sucked balls. Hell, the ECW crowd seemed extremely apathetic, almost antipathetic towards the match. Thoughts? Also, can somebody give me a list of all the Special K members. I know there was a thread dedicated to it recently, but I cannot find it. Thanks in advance.
Guest bob_barron Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 (edited) My friend was at the show and he told me it just went on way too long- there were way too many near falls. They were probably also burned out by all the other matches like Lowki v. Styles v. London Edited June 3, 2003 by bob_barron
Guest ShooterJay Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Special K (as of right now): Izzy, Dixie, Brian XL, Deranged, Angel Dust, Hydro, Slugger, Slim J, Jody Fleisch. Yeah, the match wasn't main event material, if it was put lower on the card it would have been fine.
Guest ChikoDemono Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Who else was in Special K? I know Joey Matthews and Elax were in there at one time.

Guest Rob Van Dam Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 In my opinion a Low Ki vs Styles vs Low Ki match would be out of this world.
Guest bob_barron Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I agree- Would the two Low Kis work together or would we get Lowki kicking the shit out of Lowki?
Guest ShooterJay Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Who else was in Special K? I know Joey Matthews and Elax were in there at one time. Joey Matthews, Elax, and a guy named Yeyo, who recently took time off from ROH to go to college, I think.
Guest Miss Indy Queen Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I think the problem with that scramble was that there way too many guys involved and it just looked like a total mess. It seemed everyone was trying to hit their moves but the match just fell apart completely. I think also with the fact that the crowd was definitely burned out from the other matches on the show, because I know I was during that match. As for Special K, I don't know if you would consider Mikey Whipwreck a part of Special K now since he's always with them.
Guest ChikoDemono Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I don't think the amount of people had anything to do with it being as fucked up as it was. The problem, at least in my opinion, was that they did not know what to do. Most of them stood outside doing some weak brawling or just standing there. I can surely understand the crowd being burnt out, which should have been an indication that the match should have been short and sweet, not for that long. None of them were conditioned to wrestle that long, even in a scramble match. Ah well, I'm done bitching.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 That's exactly what a scramble match is supposed to be. The announcers even say that it is an insane collection of spots.
