What happens to the titles now? also, question...

Ok, the draft has "finally" taken place, that is great. But, how can the WWF go and do this and not annouce what will happen with the titles? Unless I missed it, I don't think they said how this would work out. All I remember is that they were "fighting" to get the current champs. Anyhow, here is what it looks like to me so far...

1) The Undisputed World Champ, and the Woman's Champ can appear on BOTH, RAW and Smackdown.

2) Flair's RAW has --- IC Title & Euro Title.

3) Vince's Smackdown has --- Tag Titles, Hardcore Title & Cruiserweight Title.

...now, are the titles only going to be defended on the shows of which they are now at? Like, will RAW only have the IC Title and Euro Title matches, and Smackdown will only have Tag Title, Hardcore Title, and Cruiserweight Title matches? Or are they going to add MORE titles to both show? As it stands, Vince's show doesn't have any "major" singles titles, ie, IC & Euro. Will that not hurt the upper-card guys, as they wont have a belt to feud over?

I mean, Since the champions were drafted to one certain show, that means that there is no way for the IC title, or the such, to ever end up on Smackdown. Of course this is all in theory, but still.  Anyhow...

...do ya'll actually know the cemented answer on this topic? Are more titles on the way? By the way...

...on a side note, why did the WWF seemingly "abolish" the Lightweight Title, in favor of the Cruiserweight Title? It seems odd that they would vie to keep a WCW title on the roster, even if it isn't CALLED WCW Cruiserweight Title. Anyhow, thanks a lot!

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

They haven't said what they would do with the titles. I guess we'll see a trade for Chuck & Billy since Flair has most (I think) of the tag teams on his side.

As for the Cruiserweight title. X-Pac was hurt as Light heavyweight champ, then they started calling Tajiri Crusierweight champ. I guess Tajiri is champ.

Plus, the title "Cruiserweight" is overall a better name then "Light-heavyweight". I know I'd rather be billed as a Cruiserweight then a Light-Heavyweight. So they picked the one with the better name, I guess ???

No, I mean, I know WHY Tajiri is the champ, but I don't know why they have made the "lightcruisers" have the title be called the CRUISERWEIGHT Title, instead of the Lightweight Title. I mean, the CRUISERWEIGHT Ttitle was famous for being in WCW, and the Lightweight Title was in WWF.

I just wouldn't figure on them keeping ANYTHING from WCW, not even the name for that title, that's all.

The only tag teams on RAW, is The Hardyz. Smackdown has Scotty/Albert. So, RAW has only one true tag team, and Smackdown has two, counting the champs. I wouldn't be suprised to see Bradshaw be traded for D-Von, as then that would put The Dudleyz with The Hardyz, and it would also put The APA with Billy/Chuck.

Yeah, that's what I think is the reason also, but I am just suprised that they kept something from WCW, lol.

I think that Mick Foley's rant before Survivor Series pretty much declared the Light-Heavyweight title to be defunct because "X-Pac hasn't been seen in a while and nobody seems to care", which lead into the Tajiri-Regal match at the PPV.

Well, the WWF is noted for not only recycling old angles, ideas etc., but now recycling them from other promotions (case in point: nWO). I'm not suprised they went with the Cruiserweight title name, because that is one of the best things ever to come out of WCW, the Cruiserweight divsion.

Yes, it is indeed one of the greatest things to come out of WCW...

...it's just too bad that the WWF didn't bring it over when they bought WCW.

Yeah.....hopefully, they won't mess up their current attempt at building a Cruiserweight divsion on Smackdown! (?, that's the last I heard). It could easily be great if, again, they bring in Rey Rey, Eddy, bring up guys like Jamie Knoble, rid guys like the Hurricane of their dumb gimmicks, and push guys like Kidman, Chavo, Tajiri, and even TAKA and Funaki. But...it could easily flop, as well, but it would be damn hard to mess it up if you push the right guys.
