Guest newblood03 Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Does anyone know how much it costs and what the featurs are?

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Yep, so it looks like I'm sticking to my Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition. Might rent this one for the commentaries only.
Guest Bruiser Chong Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I agree with Corey. I don't have either version, but I think it's a bit idiotic that the two other versions found the supposedly inferior version isn't included on the "extreme" edition. If you're going to double or triple dip, then dammit, do it the right way.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I agree with Corey. I don't have either version, but I think it's a bit idiotic that the two other versions found the supposedly inferior version isn't included on the "extreme" edition. If you're going to double or triple dip, then dammit, do it the right way. From the studio's perspective, the right way to double-dip is to get you to buy both.
Guest newblood03 Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 so is it worth the 19.99 and is it better than the first one that came out...feautres wise i know the movies the same
Guest Bruiser Chong Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I agree with Corey. If you're going to double or triple dip, then dammit, do it the right way. From the studio's perspective, the right way to double-dip is to get you to buy both. Well then they aren't doing a very good job are they? A lot of people who own the supposed Ultimate Edition are passing on this version because there's stuff that isn't found on this version. Not smart marketing by the studio on this one, if you ask me.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I'm passing because nothing interests me besides the commentary (because I'm a sucker for commentary, especially since T2 is one of my all-time faves). Like I said: rental.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Considering my copy of T2 Ultimate Edition was stolen (and I still don't know if anything's been recovered) and I can get it this week 2 for 25 along with either Total Recall or Stargate, I'll bite.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I'll buy it, since I don't own it on DVD yet.
Guest Grand Slam Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 I read a review somewhere where they mentioned that none of the special features repeat between the two editions. They compared it to Fellowhip of the Ring in that regard. Personally, I find it hard to believe that outside the commentaries there is any new information that wasn't included in the massive Ultimate Edition.
Guest areacode212 Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 How how does the high-def Media Player version look? Is it really that much better looking than the regular one? Not that I'm springing for the new edition in either case, but I'm curious.
Guest Flyboy Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Con: The metal case is too fucking small and once you take out the normal case you can't get it back in without shoving it in tearing the plastic film covering the cover art sheet. From DVDTalk: While the T-2 Extreme Edition DVD Looks and Sounds fantastic, the metal case it comes in has many DVD buyers Up in Arms. Unfortunately many unlucky T-2 Extreme Edition DVD buyers (ourselves included) are finding that the fancy metal case will quickly terminate the plastic amary case inside. Artisan has been quick to acknowledge the problem and they've set up an email address people to call to get new plastic replacement cases. The address to email for a replacement case is [email protected]. Since the metal cases are 'limited' they are only going to replace the plastic inside case, our advice is to NOT put the new case back in the metal sleeve as it WILL tear it!
Guest Dmann2000 Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Well the commentary between James Cameron/Will Wisher is real good, Cameron even takes a quick swipe at T-3. Good for him, I'm pissed that they made that film without him or Linda Hamilton.
