I don't have either version, but I think it's a bit idiotic that the two other versions found the supposedly inferior version isn't included on the "extreme" edition. Well then they aren't doing a very good job are they? A lot of people who own the supposed Ultimate Edition are passing on this version because there's stuff that isn't found on this version. They compared it to Fellowhip of the Ring in that regard. Personally, I find it hard to believe that outside the commentaries there is any new information that wasn't included in the massive Ultimate Edition. From DVDTalk: While the T-2 Extreme Edition DVD Looks and Sounds fantastic, the metal case it comes in has many DVD buyers Up in Arms. Unfortunately many unlucky T-2 Extreme Edition DVD buyers (ourselves included) are finding that the fancy metal case will quickly terminate the plastic amary case inside. Artisan has been quick to acknowledge the problem and they've set up an email address people to call to get new plastic replacement cases. The address to email for a replacement case is [email protected]. Since the metal cases are 'limited' they are only going to replace the plastic inside case, our advice is to NOT put the new case back in the metal sleeve as it WILL tear it!
