Smackdown ppv main event

Recommended Posts

Angle should have a good feud for the summer before being immediately thrown back into the World Title picture.

Agreed. If Angle is returning as a face, the obvious feud for him is against Benjamin & Haas.

How's this for a money match?

Angle & Benoit vs. Benjamin & Haas for the tag titles.

That match would rule based purely on the fact that Benoit and Angle would be a tag team again. They'd need to come out together though. There's been too many tag teams who aren't real tag teams and come out seperatley

July is too soon for a Kurt/Brock rematch.

The main Smackdown feuds for the summer should be Brock vs. Benoit and Angle vs. Eddie.

That's what I would do anyway.

OnlyMe: Summerslam, nothing special? The same Summerslam which has been one of the top shows of the year for the past five years?

Nothing special?

98- Austin vs. Taker, Rock-HHH ladder match

99- Austin, Mankind, HHH main event w/ Ventura, Test-Shane, Rock/Gunn (er, okay...it was a decent match), Tag Turmoil

2000 - TLC I, Rock vs. HHH vs. Angle, Benoit/Jericho 2/3 falls

2001 - Booker vs. Rock, Angle vs. Austin, Jeff/RVD ladder match

2002 - Benoit/RVD, HHH/HBK, Rock/Brock, Rey/Angle

NOTHING SPECIAL?!

I don't deny there have been some good matches, but it just lacks the same spark that WrestleMania has. Mania has two months of solid build up, including the Rumble etc.

SummerSlam is built up just like any other PPV, and yeah there've been some great matches, but the way it is built up is just lacking. WWE should make me care, rather than have it indistinguishable from the other PPVs around it.

I'm with Anglesault....the next time Brock and Angle fight Angle should win...otherwise it does nothing. It doesn't help Brock, he beat Angle already. It hurts Angle as it confirms he cannot beat Brock.

Me, I think this should be saved. I think Face Angle and Face Brock should fight the world, and then do a respect face vs. face Title Match where Angle goes over, and becomes stronger face in the process.

I'd let Benoit beat Brock and hold title a few months, then either Brock or Angle get it back, then face each other.

what if we do Brock winning via working on the neck and taking advantage of Angle coming back too quickly? Tat leaves things open doesn't it?

Yeah, it totally depends on the booking of the finish. If it's an Extended Lesnar Squash, then it'll do nothing for Angle, neither will a "Lesnar goes 50/50 with him and wins" match.

If they are going to go with Lesnar / Angle II, the best way to go (sadly) is a non-clean finish. But they've booked themselves into a corner if they want to have this match.

Although having Angle outsmart Lesnar to win would kick all kinds of ass.
