Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted June 5, 2003 I'll be at work and not even Kurt Angle's return can bring me back to Smackdown quite yet.(I need to see steady improvement in the show dammit) So I have decided to tape the MTV Movie awards......who else is watching them?
Guest Grand Slam Report post Posted June 5, 2003 I also will be taping it. After reading about it on Monday, I have to see it. I will be watching Smackdown...
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 5, 2003 You should tape Smackdown because the movie awards will be shown in repeats during the weekend. I will probably watch the MTV movie awards tonight since I do not have UPN
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted June 5, 2003 I'm watching for one thing and one thing only.....TATU!
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted June 5, 2003 I'll just read the results. Isn't The Ring up for some?
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted June 5, 2003 Those are tonight? I'll be watching Game 5, and flipping to Smackdown during commercials.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 5, 2003 Just watch SMD and watch one of the 231 re-runs they'll air... Just a note: Amanda Byrnes has now bumped the Olsen Twins off the Chart of Jail Bait Queen after seeing the preview of the show...
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted June 5, 2003 Amanda Bynes is ugly
Guest Ray Report post Posted June 5, 2003 I won't be watching. I've always hated the MTV Movie Awards. They give awards to some of the stupidest movies ever. Basically just a show for teenagers who are to dumb to like good movies.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted June 5, 2003 I didn't know that " Lord Of The Rings " was stupid. - I'm a Teenager. - I watch the Awards every year. - I like most of those " Dumb Movies ". I guess that makes me dumb. I'll also be watching because I like Seann W. Scott (Guilty Pleasure Actor).
Guest Ray Report post Posted June 5, 2003 Lord Of The Rings isn't the only movie they've awarded. I look at some of the past winners, and I see a lot of crap. Neve Campbell in Scream 2 for best actress? The MTV Movie Awards are not a serious award show.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted June 5, 2003 Yes, but theyre fun, and they tend to award movies that deserve awards, like LOTR
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted June 5, 2003 The MTV Movie Awards are not a serious award show. It was never suppose to be. They keep it fun, not serious like The Oscars. That's the way it's always been.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 5, 2003 I haven't watched it for two years because of the Wayans Brothers hosting it two straight years. But other than those two hosting it, I've always liked the show. I'll also be watching because I like Seann William Scott. Him and Eugene Levy were the only things I liked about American Pie...comedy related. I like the show because it's not a serious award show. There's only one serious movie awards show that I'll watch and that's Oscar. So what's it going to hurt if MTV has fun with their show.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted June 5, 2003 The Wayans Bros never hosted the Movie Awards, only Music ( Once ). Last year: Sarah Michelle Gellar / Jack Black 2001: Jimmy Kimmel / Kristen Dunst Also, American Pie related: I mark for Eddie Kaye Thomas ( Finch ).
Guest Ray Report post Posted June 5, 2003 There's nothing wrong with a "fun" show I suppose, but I still can't stand the fact that they reward terrible movies. It's more about what's "popular" than what's "good."
Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted June 6, 2003 just saw the tatu performance... now im going to change the channel
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted June 6, 2003 I watched some of it and ya know, I was always completely indifferent towards the boy bands and all their members...but after seeing some of this, I will freely admit that I would not be above taking cash to murder Justin Timberlake. I have never witnessed someone so painfully unfunny and I've seen every Police Academy movie multiple times.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 6, 2003 no no...you got it all wrong Timberlake was the straight man...man
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted June 6, 2003 2001: Jimmy Kimmel / Kristen Dunst That was Jimmy FALLON. Jimmy Kimmel might have been mildly amusing... and we can't have that, can we?
Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 6, 2003 I watched it, and it was just "blah". To start with, I care little to nothing about the awards show in terms of who wins anything. It really doesn't matter at all, this show isn't about the winners. It's about entertainment and when I watch THIS awards show, I just want to be just that, entertained. I hated Justin by the way, I will NEVER accept him, ever. So in that respect, I thought it was pretty cool. The greatest part was obviously that of Gollum cussing the fuck up, that was awesome and funny as hell. I saw the Tatu segment, and I loved it, heh. I have a thing for both of them, but ESPECIALLY the one with the longer hair. I just find her so damn hot, and considering that she obviously didn't have a bra on tonight and was bouncing all over the place, it was all just great. It was entertaining, so there. Once you can FULLY understand this show is NOT about the awards, and is instead for the entertainment (or what is there at least) then you can enjoy it a lot better. It was still just "blah" to me, but it always is basicly, just mindless fun I suppose. On another note... ...what the hell happened to Demi Moore? I swear I couldn't in a million years tell you that was her in the new Charlie's Angles film, nor that it was her tonight. She looks just so different, so much better, it's amazing how different she looks to me.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 6, 2003 The best part of the show was Hillary Duff & Amanda Bynes introducing TATU. And if you managed to stop staring at the girls you would of noticed Puffy & Punk'd boy begging for the girls clothes........this has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen on tv period. Worst host ever for an award show. Some of the skits were out of place or were not funny at all. WTF was the deal with the envelope dance of Chris Kittan and the stupid cheap promotion for movies. And another thing Kristin Dunst is so young yet she has sagging breast, what a shame, wear a bra PLEASE.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 6, 2003 ...what the hell happened to Demi Moore? I swear I couldn't in a million years tell you that was her in the new Charlie's Angles film, nor that it was her tonight. She looks just so different, so much better, it's amazing how different she looks to me. She's on roids I don't think she looks that different. She's just got a different haircut, different style of makeup and he body is more toned. She's doing whatever these other older women have done that is making them look younger. Madonna(use to, but is showing her age now), Cheryl Crow, Lisa Marie and now Demi Moore are doing the same things. I think they are just wearing makeup that looks natural and gives them that golden tanned color, which gives them that younger look. At home I'm sure Demi looks the same as always
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 6, 2003 Another thing... I wonder how many of MTV's audience "got" what Eminem was doing in his best male performance acceptance speech? Crank Yankers isn't that big amoungst the MTV crowd as far as I can tell. I'm betting alot of his MTV fans didn't "get it" and are wondering what the hell was wrong with their "hero". Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 6, 2003 And another thing Kristin Dunst is so young yet she has sagging breast, what a shame, wear a bra PLEASE. Fuck it, she's so hot it doesn't matter. I'd MUCH rather haver her saggin's on me rather than some pumped up silicon whore's, but that's just my personal opinion. I like Dunst because instead of being "supermodel" pretty, she's "normal" pretty in my eyes, and I LOVE that.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 6, 2003 At times I question her fashion sense, this was not a good public apperance for her. She can look beautiful at times but that dress was a bad idea.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 6, 2003 At times I question her fashion sense, this was not a good public apperance for her. She can look beautiful at times but that dress was a bad idea. I wanted to just drink her up.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 6, 2003 I feel like going Joan Rivers on her and yell where did you get that dress, a thrift shop? Kristin Dunst is not the only celebrity of poor taste, Kelly Osborne had bad hair but that was a given. And what was Mya thinking of by wearing blue eye shadow? I thought Hillary Duff was a big fan of TATU why did'nt she wear a school girl uniform like them............hey she is having problems with Disney and what better way to say I'm done with you than go 180 and show off a little? Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2003 Gollum's acceptance speech was the shit. Thanks drive through. Thanks for filling me in Satanico I thought they had to dial up Eminem's meds or something. I've never seen Crank Yankers so I didn't get it.
