Guest Crux Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 "Some Symantec product settings have been changed by an unauthorized program. This can indicate that an attacker or a virus is attempting to disable your protection. To avoid problems, settings will be reverted to the previous configuration and your system will be restarted. Click OK to continue." I was getting this message when I turned on my computer this morning. The message also said the uninstall and reinstall. I did and it didnt help at all. The same message popped up again. I also went to the Symantec website and did the tasks they said were solutions...that also didnt help. Any other suggestions would be extremely appreciated.
Guest razazteca Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Are you using more than one Antivirus program?
Guest MrRant Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Sounds you got the new BugBear virus variant. Do a Live Update and virus scan your computer.
