Something I noticed about Commericals

Does anyone else notice that in commercials the woman is a pretty attractive and thin. While the guy is a either normal or even a overweight. The JC Penny or that new Disney commercials are examples.

Men still predominantly make more money, I think, therefore commercials will be geared that way with good lookin' ladies and a man's man that Joe Consumer can relate to.

George Lopez's wife on the show is ugly as hell although the lady on According to Jim is pretty decent. I see your point however.
