Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 7, 2003 Just click here to see what I'm talking about. I was just wondering if any of you knew anything about this set, and if you thought it would be worth the price they are asking, thanks! Also, click here for a review of this that I just found. I still want to know what you guys think though! Also, do any of you guys know of any other sets like this that are on DVD that I might not know about? Sincerely, ...Downhome... Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 7, 2003 This has been out for a WHILE DH. Pick it up though I'm sure it has, but I just started even LOOKING at DVDs just this year. I'm just blown away with this, it looks outstanding. I trust your opinions, so I might just pick this one up in the next few weeks.
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted June 7, 2003 These Wrestling Gold sets have been sold for over 15 years. But the DVD has Meltzler and Cornette's stories which are a +. Some of the original VHS matches are not on the DVDs. (Ex. Hogan vs Andre in a 1979ish arm wrestling match I have)
Guest ArkhamGlobe Report post Posted June 7, 2003 The DVD box set is worth getting for the Meltzer-Cornette commentary alone. Some of the matches are pretty good too. I say buy it.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted June 7, 2003 I concur, Downhome. If I had tapes instead of DVDs, I'd have worn them out by now.
Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted June 8, 2003 Yes, they appear to be all good for nostalgia and whatnot, but are any of those matches GOOD?
