partial birth abortion data twisted?

You know, the day that I get a proper understanding of the whole quoteing and putting text in bold and such, I will make much prettier post. You'd think nearly a year and a half would be enough time to get it... :bonk:

Ripper I think you are missing a point.

I think almost anyone will agree that the chances of a child being raised by shitty parents who don't love them are not as good as a kid who is raised by ideal parents. Ditto the kid who has foster parents just in it for the money. I accept that sometimes life deals people fates that we would not wish on them. I think, however, you might want to think about the fact that people surmount these odds every day. Even if it's not 50% of the people born in difficult situations, in America a child can expect to have access to food, shelter, and an education. Many many people have survived and become great with less.

I tried this whole "Unwanted babies are better off dead" with a girl once, in passing. I got a whole lot of rightous wrath, let me tell you. She wasn't particularly wanted, and her parents were not affluent. Her parents divorced and remarried, and her life was about as chaotic and crazy as anyone else I know. Yet she is one of the most amazing people I know. If she had been terminated because her parents were not ready or willing to have a child, the chances of her succeeding in this world are NIL. She's DEAD.

There's nothing worse than death. Even abused kids have options, chances, and a future. Aborted babies have nothing.

That's why I don't think it's right to abort a baby because you're unready to have a baby. It's not the baby's fault you're unready to have a baby. Give the baby up for adoption, but don't KILL it.
