Guest MRFTW Report post Posted March 27, 2002 Copy and pasted from the ultimotapes.com update news letter "Hi Everyone, I need to start out with some sad news from my side, but due to new commitments I will be assuming in a few weeks I will not have the time to dedicate to Ultimo Tape World that I have had the past few years. So as a result I will be closing the site next week. I considered other options such as continuing the site, but asking that orders allow longer to be filled, but I decided against doing that, since I feel that will end up with me buried in e-mails asking for order status. I have always tried to make sure orders were filled in less than a week and in most cases a few days and prefer not to do business any other way. Since I want to give everyone a chance to order anything from the site they want, but have not ordered yet I will be accepting online credit card orders and Pay Pal orders for the rest of the week. I will also accept mail orders that are received through the beginning of next week to give them time to reach me. As long as they are postmarked this week. As some of you may or may not know I keep several hundred tapes on hand already run off to help me fill orders as fast as possible. I will need to clear out all my excess stock once all outstanding orders are filled. To do this I will be offering the remaining tapes on the web site at a discounted price. This will be a chance for people to get tapes at a really good price from the stock I have on hand. I plan to offer volume discounts as well for these tapes. I will send out an e-mail to alert everyone to when they go on sale. Also I recently purchased a DVD burner and will be converting many of my master tapes both commercial and TV to DVDs. As I do this I will be offering the master VHS tapes for sale on the web site. I have a very large collection of several hundred masters of commercial tapes from New Japan, All Japan, NOAH, Michinoku Pro, Toryumon, All Japan Women, W*ING, Big Japan, and more that will be offered for sale here on the web site. This will be a great chance to purchase master tapes without having to pay the high shipping charges of getting them from Japan or trying to outbid others in auctions where many times the prices go much higher than you want to pay. They will be offered on my site at what I feel will be a very fair price on a first come, first serve basis. I will also send out an e-mail to alert you to when they go on sale. So even though I will not be accepting new orders after this week. I will be offering great deals on tapes for the next several months, so make sure to keep up to date on the clearance sales here at Ultimo Tape World. I want to take this chance to thank everyone who has supported Ultimo Tape World over the years. The site was started in 1997 and I have strived to offer a high quality product at a fair price. It has been more successful than I ever thought and it has allowed me to watch some of the greatest wrestling around. Thanks for everything! Guest Pegasus Kid Report post Posted March 27, 2002 This thread doesn't belong here but Todd's site ruled it so I'll let it stay. It's tough that Todd has to close down though his "commitments" are a little on the ficticious side. The bottom line is that his Japanese source got married and simply could not provide him (or Triple Crown Tapes; watch for something from Goofball sometime soon) with tapes any longer. Now I could be wrong and Todd has other stuff to do but his dealer simply tried up, that I know for a fact. I'll definitely be getting in on all those discounted tapes. I'll probably finally buy some Joshi in large amounts if it is cheap enough.

Guest McLeary Report post Posted March 28, 2002 On the bright side, at least I have a real good excuse to go on a massive tape-buying binge, which I wanted to do anyway seeing as how I can't really do anything after just getting my appendix removed. Now I get to save money too, which is also a plus.
