"Let's say a woman says she'll tell the guys friends that he's gay if he doesn't go with her."

I wonder if that would make an effective pick-up line for a guy trying to get into a girl's pants?...

I did a report on Date Rape two years ago. It is very possible for a woman to rape a man, all it takes is no consent. Let's say a woman says she'll tell the guys friends that he's gay if he doesn't go with her. Rape, my friends. It all comes down to societal boundaries. Society dictates that guys are supopsed to be sex-at-all-costs anytime anywhere types, so much so that if he says no, he could very likely be ostracized and publically humiliated. It prob. happens more than we think too, becasue what man would want to welcome that stigma into their life. I'm not even touching anal-rape becuase that needs no sort of explanation.

I don't really think that murder is a worse crime but they are comparable. The only problem is the afforementioned Date Rape. One out of every 4 woman are raped at one time int heir life, so you really think that it's a thin line

Oh blah blah blah. "She might say I'm Gay so I had sex with her" isn't fucking rape. It is being a pussy and caring what everyone else thought about you and social status. Just say you were about to do it and she really stanked down there...

Like KKK said, would that work on anyone but a homophobe or a adolesant. "She'll tell everyone I'm gay, OOOOHHHHH!!!" I'm sorry but if someone does it with another person for that reason, that ain't rape.

someone can at least TRY to put rape behind them (not to say it's not horrible, cause it is), but it's VERY hard to put being dead behind you

Oh I'm sorry, I must not have got the memo that redefined rape...you know sex without consent. Rape is rape, it's a pretty crystal clear line. If you don't consent to sex, you were raped. What if you wanted to stay a virgin and a girl did that to you. A hot one? The popular girl in school? The head cheerleader? Do you still say no? I'm not disagreeing that it's not all in the social status but I bet if you looked into it, it would happen more often than you think. The ambiguity comes in when alcohol and other inhibitors come into play. Read the laws, then come back and talk.

I read a book on law not so long ago and in it it said something along the lines of women cannot be convicted of rape only sexual assualt. That kinda sucks.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

A man can get an erection by a women touching him, he doesn't make himself get hard. I am sure all of us didn't want to have an erection, but it still pops out.

If you're popping wood during, say, a physical -- you have major issues.

-=Mike

Why do you have to have issues? You don't even have to be horny to have a boner. I've gotten boners in church before and I wasn't horny.

So did I.

Then puberty ended and it got a bit more under control.

It's called THINKING ABOUT OTHER THINGS.

That is crap. If someone plays on your own ego and you have sex with them, they did not rape you. YOU GOT PLAYED. The difference in your scenario is that a clear choice can be made between walking out or doing it. The person must FORCE themselves on you and if you have choices, non of which include violence, you are CHOOSING to have sex with them. I could care less what the law says. NO ONE would choose RAPE over getting called gay.

damn...

marney rocks...

Rape's bad, yes...but I've got a few friends that have lived with it...Hell, one had the kid and raised it with love...

Personally, I think pretty much everyone either

a) has had an experience of forced sex, or attempted force

b) has someone close to them who does.

Which, really, in the end, are pretty close to two of the same thing, so we're all living with it.

Maybe if society didn't project this whol objectification of the human, moreso female but still objectifies males too, we would be better off...

But then Calvin Klein would go out of business, and we can't have that :P

Plus it's far worse on the people around you.

You know, I might find the Law and Order episode on this very subject. Law and Order always sorts things out.

Here's a query: would you, personally, rather be dead, or a brain-dead "living vegetable." Out of everyone I've asked, I'm the only one who has chosen life, even in that state...

To me, dead is dead, but with life comes hope. The hope to move past the mental trauma of rape, or even the hope for a cure to illness. But maybe I'm alone on this.
