Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 9, 2003 (Before you say it, I meant the SHIFT key, not the shit key, ugh.) I'm sure it is some sort of "hot key", but how do I turn it off? While I'm at it, the "." key over on the right with the numbers brings up the "Search" screen also. I'm on Windows XP if that helps at all. Please, cure my insanity...please. Or I'll be in awe once again. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

Guest MrRant Report post Posted June 9, 2003 Go to the Control Panel -> Keyboard -> Input Locals-> Make sure it is set for English and US. Also check your Control Panel for a Hot Key app that may be lying around in there that lets you map the keys.

Guest MrRant Report post Posted June 9, 2003 Try Control Panel-> Key Board -> Buttons. You could also try uninstalling the driver for the keyboard in the device manager and then rebooting and let XP reinstall your keyboard. That may work.
