I don't need in-depth character development and all that, and I can appreciate a simple movie for what it is supposed to be: mindlessly entertaining. I don't call many movies bad movies. Silly, simple, corny, boring....but not outright bad. But 2 Fast 2 Furious, which I saw this afternoon, is a bad movie. It's a really, really BAD movie. Tyrese is a horrible actor, made even more horrible that he was one of the stars and therefore had to talk alot. Stick to singing, yo. That Asian/White girl who races the purple/pink car in the first scene is one of the worst actresses I've ever seen this side of porn. Something ain't right when the Top 3 actors in a movie are Paul Walker, the "eye candy" chick, and Ludacris. Also, the plot is full of holes and illogical stuff (Like why was there NEVER anyone else driving on the street?). The action scenes/car races/car chases were about the only thing on par with The fast and the Furious. But at least the first installment had an interesting story and a good performance by Vin Diesel. But the first one DOES have Ja Rule, and that's never good. Tyrese is not a good actor, but some of the stuff he did was good for a few chuckles. Paul Walker blows as an actor...and he said "bro" about 1785 times during the movie. Ludacris was in the movie, but his part wasn't that large, so he didn't annoy me that much. The racing was good..and at two or three in the morning as I'll go out on a limb and guess for the time during the "all or nothing" race, not many cars are on the street, so I can let that slide. But overall, the movie wasn't too bad...sure, it catered to the MTV audience like the last one, but eh. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But I'll admit, I primarily went to see it so I could drool over Paul Walker, who, while not a great actor, is one NICE piece of eye candy. But that Asian chick...wow, was she a BAD actress. Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted June 9, 2003 I liked the movie. Just like Natural Born Thriller 4:20 said in the box office thread this week, "I have my own taste in movies." I couldn't agree more. Tyrese didn't do a HORRIBLE job, and showed good charisma by being a sarcastic and funny sidekick to Paul Walker. In the first one, we just had big Vin grunting and lumbering around. Tyrese had some depth and good interatction. The scene where Spoiler (Highlight to Read): he set the windsheild on fire was priceless As for the rest of the flick, it's nothing but a no-brainer actioner, but a fun one nonetheless. I do swear that Paul Walker is Keanu III (Keanu II of course being Freddie Prinz Jr.) I'm starting to think they were all taught at the same acting school and that they aren't really bad actors, we just aren't getting it. It was a really really sad Survivor rip off with washed up celebrities. And Tyrese was on it. Not only was he a GIGANTIC asshole but he was quite possibley one of the biggest pussies I've ever seen. I mean the guy was a wimp. And what is the plot of this movie? I mean they make it look like him and Paul Walker are running from the cops. Wasn't he a cop in the first one. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Walker's character lost his badge due to helping Vin's character get away at the end of part 1. In this one, he's living in Miami, making a living off of street racing, when he's cornered by the cops and the feds to redeem himself and capture a drug/arms dealer. This movie defines garbage and is intended soley for the demographic of guys who like fast cars and unexplained action. Hey, I'm a guy, but these sorts of movies just don't appeal to me. Nothing wrong with action, I just think that it should occur because of something. I didn't see why so many people busted a load all over themselves for the first one and the same will apply to the sequel. The name of the movie just sounds like a fuckin' joke; I mean seriousl, 2 Fast 2 Furious? That's ridiculous sounding. The amount of sequels Hollywood's churning out right now is pretty alarming, but the fact that most of them are to movies that had no right having a first one made, makes things even worse. And Damaramu, might wanna lay off all the "I don't pay attention to those homey yo G bling bling actors" schtick. I'm guilty of making some remarks here and there that could be considered somewhat racist, but some of your remarks are getting a little too close to crossing that fine line between creative expression and racism. Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted June 9, 2003 IN MY OPINION, MINE'S ONLY. I enjoyed the Movie. I awaited it's release. Tyrese - I think he's a decent Actor. He was excellent in " Baby Boy " and okay here. He brought Comedy to the Movie, and he has something that Vin Diesel doesn't. Paul Walker - Eh, he's okay. BUT, watching him say " Cuz " 50 times makes me want to beat the shit out of him. Eva Mendes - She was decent with what she was given, could have had more to do. Cole Hauser - I did like him. But for being the main " Villian " in the Movie, he didn't have much to do. Could have extended his role. Ludacris - I like him as a Rapper. He didn't do much here, so I have no problems.
