Rico down in OVW was the best worker and best interview by far. He outclassed Lesnar in every way. He was looked at as the star that Cornette made and therefore when he came up Heyman hated him. He saddled him with that crap gimmick to get at Cornette, making his top star seem like a fool. Once rico left I stopped going to OVW shows as he was the only reason to go. Meltzer even reported that Heyman came up with the gimmick to get back at Cornette on WOL. Yet another reason to hate Paul.

I find it ironic that Heyman of all people would "hold down" Rico with a gay gimmick. After all, those rumors...

 

It's also heavily Heyman's fault that the only good Natural Born Thriller, Mike Sanders, never was called up to WWE. It's speculated he was just going to get Rico's gimmick anyway, though.

I wouldve paid to see "above average" mike sanders, who thinks hes hot shit, reduced to doing a gay hair stylist gimmick. Im suprised nash's influence didnt get him in.

cmon, Andrew, did u really think he was that great? i agree he was better than any of the other thrillers, but thats not saying much. He had good mic skills, but was on and off. his in ring skills werent anything to write home about either.

He'd only started getting a shot at anything other than Saturday Night jobber matches, and was already outshining the other Thrillers by leaps and bounds.

 

The same Thrillers who still absolutely suck, may I add, yet still get TV time and pushes.

I find it somewhat hilarious that bookers like Heyman and JR would intentionally destroy peoples' careers, in their own company, just to embarass another booker. It's not surprising, but it's hilarious.

 

I'm watching Raw for Foley, Jericho. The Mack, and Nash's potential injury. Notice how they don't even try to promote wrestling on the free tv shows.
