Guest HHH123007 Report post Posted June 10, 2003 I just rented it, and am in the middle of watching it... I rented it due to strong word of mouth.....have you seen it? If so, did you like it?
Guest Urine Sane Report post Posted June 10, 2003 Yes, and it's a great movie, if Dimension would have promoted it at all, it would have made some decent money.
Guest HHH123007 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 I thought it was okay...I spent almost all of the second half waiting for Christian Bale to just let loose on everyone. When the time came, the movie was great.....all the stuff leading up to the end wasn't terrific or anything, but I'd still recommend the movie to most. 6/
Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 Yeah I have seen it, due to word of mouth. It had a great storyline to it. It would be a crazy world, in which you can't think for yourself....... 8/
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 I loved it personally. Bale was excellent, as usual, and the concept was interesting enough to keep my attention. Not as much fighting as I had been led to believe, but the one's that are there are pretty amazing (especially the one about the puppy...you'll see it) since it actually looks like something a person could learn to do as opposed to Matrix stuff. There is one glaring continuity error that I noticed that bugged me, but other than that I thought it was a great movie that got screwed by it's distributor. 8.5/

Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2003 There is one glaring continuity error that I noticed that bugged me Was it how the reproduced? No, I just figured that there was some form of artificial insemination or test tubing with families being formed out of the donors. What I talking about is: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Taye Diggs being trapped with the guns. Bale's character switched guns AFTER he blasted all the cops, so Diggs' gun shouldn't have been the one to leave evidence at the scene of the shootout. Plus, he only switched one gun even though he used both during the shootout.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted June 12, 2003 that's really a moot point since Spoiler (Highlight to Read): it was revealed that Diggs' character and the Tetragrammaton were in on it the whole time, it was just a ruse to make Preston think he'd gotten himself in to see Father, they never thought Diggs' character did it
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 19, 2003 I just saw it this weekend and I liked it quite a bit. I can't believe Dimension dropped the ball on this one. Promoted properly it would've easily been top five in the box office it's first week. I can see why people would write it off as a low budget matrix ripoff as it does resemble matrix in alot of ways. It's unfortunate that people do that, but it's a fact of life. I honestly enjoyed this movie more than matrix. Matrix gets wrongly labeled as a FX poineer, but I found the fight scenes in Equilibrium to be more entertaining.
