Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 21, 2003 The Game is realistic until like 2009 Look at this... NATIONAL CHAMPIONS from 2009-2015... 2009- North Texas over Ohio State 2010- Air Force Over N.C.S.U 2011-Louisville Over Texas Tech 2012-Virginia Over Arkansas 2013-Texas Over Georgia (they had 3 losses) 2014-Illinois Over Miami 2015-Cincinnati Over Kansas State... Explain this to me... All it takes is a good three years of recruiting and even the bottom feeder of the NCAA can become contenders. Heck, I have a prestige of like two right now. I could still win the Nationals if I try hard enough. Only question I have is why the heck is Georgia who has 3 losses even considered a canidate for the National title? Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 21, 2003 No Idea...Good Strength I guess...I don't remember but Maybe it was one of those whacky every team loses 3 games type of deals... Oh, now I remember. If they beat a lot of upperclass teams (ranks better than #10) then sometimes a team that losses three games will have a chance at the National title because they topped a lot of the better teams out there. I did a simming dynasty just to find out about the recruiting process. I found recently that Ohio State lost 3 games, but still beat the hell out of many topped ranked teams to get #4 and still be qualified because they beat the #2 ranked team. Then again, politics also come into play as I was given a birth at the Motor City title, even though my team ranked in at #7 overall.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Yeah SIM isn't accurate as the #8 team shouldn't play the New Orleans Bowl... I could understand why COTTON Bowl is apprently a important bowl and is shunted into that big 5 scheme...
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted July 25, 2003 Finally got my Xbox to play it. Excellent. The defense is mad, yo. I'm playing a Dynasty with Notre Dame and in my second game against Michigan I had a great game. And it sure was a great game, that's for sure. I tried to start off with Texas Tech (I play on All-American -- new system/controller or not) and I got my ass kicked by the big teams (well I went toe-to-toe with Pittsburgh for three quarters). I managed to get my Xbox to show on my PC so hopefully I'll be able to take a snapshot of one of my covers soon.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted August 10, 2003 Here's how my Dynasty stuff has gone so far: Alright. I've had NCAA for a good while now, and here's what I've done so far: Name all of the 80-99 rated players for well-known teams. I started a Dynasty with Notre Dame and went all the way to the National Championship to take on Miami. On the LAST play of the fucking game, Miami throws a Hail Mary from their FOURTY yard line and they win. I was so pissed, although it IS my #1 Greatest Game (1100+ points). I quit that Dynasty and started another one with Colorado. I simmed the whole first season and I went 2-7 or something like that. They fucking fired me, so I went to Southern Miss. I start to build up that *** school from the ground up. Three years later, I have a NASTY defense (I'm talking 99 rated CBs and 99 rated FSs) and we have won FOUR National Championships. I'm in my fifth year (year 2007) and my defense is rated A while my offense is B- (although I DO have a 99 rated QB that is a Heisman candidate). Southern Miss is now a ****** school (a fucking powerhouse). After I won my second Championship, the SEC invited me into their division (USM is in the C-USA to begin with) and I gladly accepted. Also, in that same Dynasty I imported two created teams. The "Calgary Lightning" and the "Gotham Knights". The Knights had a Heisman winner for a QB the first year, but after that it's been going down hill. The Lightning are good (went from a *** to a ****** just like USM) and have even made a championship appearance to take on me.
