Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 27, 2002 So, in all our bets and pools, who had exactly one month to the day (Feb 17-Mar 17)for when Nash, Hall, Waltman, and Hunter would be playing their political bullshit so much that it would cause major distress in the locker room? For bonus points, who predicted that they would chase Austin out or make HHH the only viable Main Eventer?
Guest MARTYEWR Report post Posted March 27, 2002 Or that Rock would be playing Robin to Hogan's Batman...
Guest thebear Report post Posted March 27, 2002 speaking of robin.. I wish hogan and show would have been both on TNN... then, when TNN picks up the old robin hood tv series, we could get a repeat of the robin hood match, and man, the chick on that show had a nice rack
Guest notJames Report post Posted March 27, 2002 There are actually people out there who watched Robin Hood?!? Damn politicking. I guess the new logo everyone's talking about will look like this... - WCW - ouch
Guest Report post Posted March 27, 2002 What exactly have they been doing? I havent heard a damn thing. The Robin Hood show sucked but I watched it alot for some reason. The girl in the first season who played Marion got replaced in season two. The season two chick wasnt near as fine.
Guest Singular Report post Posted March 27, 2002 This whole Rock/Hogan "Let's be best friends!" thing is crap. Using each other's one-liner's, verbally stroking each other by spewing off all the accomplishments they have had, and my favorite, "The people made Hulk Hogan and the People made the Rock." This is crap. Rock has never been so buddy-buddy with anyone since he was the blue chipper. One of them better turn soon. My bet is Hogan.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted March 27, 2002 I would rather see the Rock turn because then it sets up the epic enounter of Hogan vs. the guy who screwed him. Summerslam rematch??
Guest Report post Posted March 27, 2002 I cant wait untill the Rock turns heel. Did you see the 2 of them smile after the back stage segment. That was so gay. Thats not the rock. 2 years ago rock wouldve asked him if he worked for the building and made him carry his luggage.
Guest Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Obviously, one of them is gonna turn. It's been a while for the Rock, so I'd guess it would be him. Although, he does have The Scorpion King coming out soon, so they might wait until after that to turn him.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted March 28, 2002 i think they're afraid to pull the trigger on a rocky heel turn, simply because they overkilled it last year with all the turns and re-turns (austin turning heel, then face...vince turning face, then heel...regal turning face, then heel...etc...). if they really wanted heat on rocky, they'd keep him buddy-buddy with hogan & bait him into having some kind of tag team retirement match, where hogan has to retire if he loses. rock turns on him & destroys his career. if they do it while hogan's still hot, it's major heel heat. Guest Human Fly Report post Posted March 28, 2002 "2 years ago rock wouldve asked him if he worked for the building and made him carry his luggage." That would've rocked (no pun intended) hard! Heel Rock always cracked me up. The fans will cheer him anyway no matter what he does, I wish they would have him do stuff like that again.
Guest Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Austin seems to be playing more games than anyone. He refused to job to Hall and then didn't show up for one of the most important RAWs in history.
Guest MaskedDanger Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Exactly, Angle-plex. People blaming Austin's bitching on the nWo (any variation of it...Besides, when has Waltman ever tried to be a politican? Backstage, he's always been a follower rather than a leader. Even in the good ol' days of the "Kilq", both promotions got tossed him around like a wet rag.) is absolute bullshit. Why are people so hard up to blame the nWo for everything, even stuff that hasn't happened? Sure, none of them are in peak shape anymore, but they're still okay, and by all reports they's been on good behavior since showing up in the WWF. They didn't "send Austin running"; Austin himself decided first to kill off a hot (or at least decent) angle with Hall and secondly to not come into work all this week. Whether he had the right to do so or not is up to debate (I don't think he did), but he himself made the decision to let his ego get in the way of work. Maybe if he stepped up his performance some (in either the ring or his promos...he's been coasting on both for months now; at least Rock and Hogan get the crowds fired up), he wouldn't be getting "demoted" to "only" having to work angles with one of the top heels in the fed. Boo-fricking-hoo, Stevie.
Guest tominator89 Report post Posted March 28, 2002 All I have to say is this: If the WWF is so great, then why did Mick Foley ask for his release? Obviously there has to be something that caused him to do so; other than his desire to write books. The only difference is that Austin in an active wrestler while Foley is retired. Thus, Foley doesn't have to worry about his place on the card, working matches with people, etc etc. As far as I'm concerned, the WWF learned absolutely nothing from Foley's departure and if they are stupid enough to lose Steve Austin then they've earned the same fate as WCW. Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted March 28, 2002 X-Pac: A total has-been from last year that becomes main eventer and de facto leader of the nWo within a week. And you think he's not a politician? Good GAWD. While you're at it, why don't you say that Hogan isn't jocking the Rock around like his blue-chipper candy-ass bitch... ...or that Kane is really a big threat to the nWo (no matter how ludicrous their booking has been) ...or that Stephanie McMahon was being held down for being beautiful? *watching pigs pick up speed overhead*
Guest blackjack4x Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Besides, when has Waltman ever tried to be a politican? Backstage, he's always been a follower rather than a leader. Guest Brian Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Because Waltman's never had a rep for being in control of a situation or being able to self impose upward momentum on the card. Add the fact that X-Pac has very little leverage other than that he a veteran.
Guest mastermind Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Why do people can't see the LOGIC in X-pac being in the nWo? He left the nWo in wcw by getting fedexed by Bischoff and on Thunder Hogan said he couldn't cut it. He shows up on RAW and rips Hogan and says that Nash and Hall would be with him on RAW, but Bischoff was holding them hostage. Now the nWo come to the wwf and Hogan is kicked out the group and X-pac returns in the faction to kick Hogan's ass on SmackDown. I think I would love for the wwf to keep this kind of continuity with their storytelling especially since they have wcw's video library. Instant storyline material. Honestly, I haven't seen anything wrong with the group YET except for Nash whining like the Big Daddy Bitch Rock called him to Vince because Rock called him a name. Boo-hooo about that. Austin has caused the most headaches whether he is right or not. And yes, Rock is getting a bit soft with this junk he's been doing to get back the fans who turned on him. It's not really needed in the States as much.
