What 3 things would you change about the draft

The idea for one side to have Greg Helms and the other to have Hurricane which is on another thread would be a novel and fun gimmick. The only thing I can remember like it was Cactus,Dude Love and Mankind in the same Rumble.

I think that the guy who wants to fire 1/3rd of the WWF roster is experimenting with some drugs.

Like it or not, APA is over, the Hardyz are still over, Rikishi is over.

If you ended up with the WWF, you'd gut it and the ratings would bleed away from the shows.

Why not fire Steve Blackman or Perry Saturn?

Hurricane might as well stay away forever since the gimmick ceased being over a long time ago and the fans probably won't buy dragging Shane Helms, regular Joe Schmoe cruiserweight, back from the pits of Gimmick Hell. Much like Storm and Christian, it would take some MAJOR retooling and probably a very extended stay in the developmentals to actually get people to buy into the characters again.

didn't Austin have shitty gimmicks the whole time, stunning steve was good but they made him look bad,he even had a shitty gimmick in the WWF,the Ringmaster regular Joe Schmoe heavyweight Steve Austin became the biggest star since hogan so they can do anything with Helms

KOR, I see what you're saying, but that was 95/96 and the average wrestling fan today has basically seen it all and will probably not be surprised or even care anymore when a regular Joe Schmoe cruiserweight returns and gets a big push. The average fan today would probably be like "Isn't that the Hurricane?" and laugh at him despite Shane trying to get over being serious.

I have NOTHING against Hurricane, BUT in today's WWF, the storylines and pace of the programming moves a hell of a lot faster than it did back when Austin was in the first stages of the Stone Cold gimmick. It would be like Godfather ditching the pimp gimmick for an "escort service", the fans just shit on it(I know, I know... bad example and all, but it's true).

you also have a valid point, sometimes i wish they could have more time to build a character so people could get used to him,or they could possibly grow into the character but nowadays they shove it down your throat, and the first sign of failure the guys in a new gimmick the next week

I was expressing my opinion, I don't think it is right to say "I'm on drugs" for saying what I think.  APA is not over, their gimmick makes no sense anymore.  Hardyz are slowly receiving less and less pops.  Rikishi is over because he sticks men's heads in his ass.  Perry Saturn is good and I don't think Blackman is coming back.

Besides, IMO, the split won't work for long.  So some people have to be let good...it may suck and be unfair, but it is business.  I would also hire some more OVW talent to help even out the rosters.

Plus, by releasing all those wrestlers, I would leave the room open for competition, which would give them jobs and more spotlight.  I would realise, if I was in charge, I would need competition, so I could better myself.  It is also key to respect your opponent, otherwise you may grow overconfident and make foolish decisions.

Plus, I would feel the need to make new stars and get rid of some old.  With some of the established stars in the indies, it could lead to good competition.  I would use the indies as training for the stars and maybe try to rehire them when I felt they had improved.

Anyways, just my opinion.

Using the NWA name makes absolutely no sense. It's a semi-defunct joke of a wrestling organisation whose "world" title is currently being held by WWF reject Dan Severn. It's basically an Indie with a slightly more recognisable name. The WWF has about 1000000X the brand value and recognition. Hell, even WCW has more brand balue than the NWA.
