Got my driving test tomorrow

I'm 21, and I am finally taking the test. For some reason I used to be terrified of driving, but a couple weeks ago I had to drive my friend's car home from the bar and did OK. So I started practicing, realized I had conquered my fear, and decided to take the test.

 

My question for you guys is, are there any little details I should know, things to do, things not to do, etc.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

ok you all might flame me.. but i dont care.. i just took my test a couple days ago for the first time... i was doing ok until i got to this stop sign... i thought it was a four way stop but i didnt look for a 4-Way sign and guess what... there wasnt one.. I saw this guy coming, thought he was going to stop.. he didnt.. i pulled out in front of him and failed automatically... point is dont do that... watch for the four ways and the regular stop signs

That's exactly what I was thinking. I am friendlier and more coherant buzzed then I am sober. Wait, no, I drove drunk for the first time last night (lie) and I fucked up a couple of turns big time, man they were terrible. Maybe I should just take some ecstasy, so driving a car will feel like the greatest experience ever and I will force myself to pass.

Don't be so nervous that you forget the little things that could end up hurting you - i.e. put your seatbelt on (make sure the instructor does, as well), put the wipers on even if it is barely raining.

I'm not worried about the road test or the parking......just the little insignificant things that could earn me an F.

I remember trying to parallel park.

 

For some reason, I couldn't do it. It was always the one thing that kept me from passing.

 

Somehow the last time I went, I sort of like, had an out of body experience or something and, I managed to parallel park the damn car but I don't remember actually doing it. And to this day I still cant parallel park.

It's not the end of the world if ya fail, I had to take the test 3 times before I passed but it's all good anyhow. Remember to come to a complete stop(Killed me on my first test) and keep your eyes moving so as to not miss any signs that could jump out at you from nowhere.

Well, I am officially a failure. Here's what happened..........

 

I start to parellel park, cut it in, and I'm shocked that I did it so well. The guy's like "Very good. And you would've passed.......if you didn't tap that cone." Apparently I fuckin "grazed" one of the cones, and for that reason, boom, automatic failure.

 

I already scheduled an appointment for tomorrow at 11:30, so I will be back to talk about round two tomorrow, lol.

Damn Jaxl...I hate failing for minor crap like that(I failed my first test cause I didn't stop for the full 5, only stopped for 3 seconds despite the fact that there was NOBODY coming in either direction)

Always talk to your instructor, if you sound confident he/she will like that. Plus it will make you less nervous if they can have a laugh and a giggle.

I got a perfect score on the driving test. We mad all righ turns had 2 stop signs and 2 light signals. It was fail proof.

Mine was:

 

Take a left onto a road, stop at a stop sign, take a right onto a main road, pull over, back up, get back into the lane, go to the light, take a right at the light, bear right, stop at the stop sign, take a right, then take one more right into the parking lot. Bam.

 

Got a 98/100

The test in Maryland (at least here) is a course test, not a road test. Its a piece of cake if you can parallel park. I had to go through it 3 times before I managed my "How the hell did I manage to parallel park" feat on the 4th try.

 

Drive forward out of the parking lot and into the course, down a long stretch. Stop. Put it in reverse and drive back towards the entrance to the course. Stop. Go back to where you stopped at the end of the long stretch. Turn into a small box area surrounded by concrete barriers. Stop. Do a turnoaround in the box without hitting the concrete barriers. Stop. Turn right and and right again. Drive up a bit, paralell park. Stop. Exit the parking space, drive forward, obey the almost hidden stop sign (testing to see how observant you are, but it only works the first time through the course). Pull back into the parking lot. Park the car and exit the car properly.

good job man... i took it for the second time today and i should of passed.. he said i missed a turn signal which was bullshit cause I am confident i didnt.... but anyway congratulations...
