Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 This is amusing, to say the least. Doubt it's true, but it's worth a read. http://www.canoe.ca/CNEWS/World/2003/06/10.../108164-ap.html
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 Well, we don't know yet if he's dead, so this is theoretically possible. Doomed to failure if true, but possible.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 I doubt the Hussein regime could even properly manage a counterattack. Remember that story from last month about how Quasay kept directing soldiers right across our armored column, taking out 50% of them on the way there, then 50% on the way back? Yeah. Their leadership sucks. You may remember last year the Guardian posted a story about how a retired military leader participated in a simulation of a US vs Iraq war and continued to defeat the US invasion force again and again with the Hussein army. The Guardian article kept going on about how the Pentagon officials were getting frustrated and "cheating" by changing the conditions again and again. And yet the guy still won. So why did Saddam lose? One appaerant problem is that nobody in his government was a great military mind. That's a great reason why they lose wars.
