Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Do any of you guys own any OOP or really valuable DVDs of any kind? The only ones I have, that I at least think are OOP, are Fight Club: SE, Silence of the Lambs: Criterion, Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs: Platinum 2- Disc, and Monsters Inc. (I think it went OOP a few months or so ago). Also, what are your personal favorite OOP DVDs? Do you know of a list somewhere that lists all of the DVDs that went OOP? One more thing, lol. Do any of you own the OOP Short Circuit DVD? Sincerely, ...Downhome...

Guest fazzle Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Is the ED2 tin OOP yet? If so, I own that. I don't really pay attention to whether or not stuff is still being printed.

Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 14, 2003 i own Scarface I didn't even know that was OOP. I ask this, because I'm sure there are DVDs out there that I don't even know exist, heh.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Fight Club 2 disc DVD Akira 2 disc DVD in the tin Killer & Hard Boiled by Fox Lober Not sure if they are OOP
Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted June 14, 2003 The only DVD's I have that are officially OOP are Robocop CC and Fight Club 2-Disc. The WWF's aren't officially considered OOP yet. I have plenty of DVD's that could afford to be put outta print and better editions of them be released, but that's a different story.

Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Akira 2 disc DVD in the tin I didn't know that was out of print... they've still got a couple in the store, I should pick that up. I've heard the Texas Chainsaw Massacre is oop, but I've seen a few of those still on the shelves too, so I don't know for sure. Other than that I have Fight Club, Silence of the Lambs, Salo, and the criterion collections of Dead Ringers and Spinal Tap. I'd recommend those last two highly. Guest bravesfan Report post Posted June 14, 2003 The WWF's aren't officially considered OOP yet. So you're saying, that they're still being manufactured? Or does OOP mean that they're not being sold by major retailers? (because if in that case, they aren't OOP yet).

Well, if you check out any DVD organizing site on the net, none of them acknowledge any of the WWF DVD's as being OOP. And I can't believe how many people still don't know what OOP means. Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted June 14, 2003 The Fight Club 2 Disc DVD.... Speaking of Battle Royale, when is it being ported to Region 1?
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I bought the Fight Club: SE when it came out. TWO of the Evil Dead 2 Tins that might be OOP(one I bought, one I won from Anchor Bay). I think Citizen Kane is about to go OOP, and I have it. And, if they're like the Fight Club: SE, I have the OOP Abyss: SE and Big Trouble in Little Chine: SE. I say this because Fox has released Fight Club, The Abyss, and BTiLC as single disc DVDs now.

Guest Marshall Report post Posted June 14, 2003 The Fight Club 2 Disc DVD.... Speaking of Battle Royale, when is it being ported to Region 1? I don't think it ever will be. Just import it or get it cheap for ebay, but watch out for DVD copies!

Guest teke184 Report post Posted June 15, 2003 I own plenty of OOP DVDs and the ones that I find to be the best are Devil's Advocate (without the digital blurring of Milton's sculpture) and Robocop: Criterion Collection. I would list others but Anchor Bay has a nasty habit of re-releasing limited edition movies under different titles (Example- Army of Darnkess SE w/ Director's Cut was limited to 30,000. They then released the Director's Cut as Army of Darkness: European Version and, currently, Army of Darkness: Bootleg. Many of the other DVDs I have that are OOP have either been re-released in an equal or better form (Platoon: SE by Live, for example) or are about to be re-released (Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life").
