Because I don't feel like renting it and the movie doesn't appeal to me at all. I just want to know what the big stink is.

Find a review that spoils everything for you. I don't recall if the ass-reaming Dr. Tom gave it did that, but I read all the ridiculous plot twists somewhere and had a good laugh. I have no plans to ever see it, but good god is it a funny concept.

I'll be watching it once it hits DVD. As bad as it may be, it has Spacey and "OH MY GOD" Kate Winslet, so there are some positives on my end, heh.

Yeah Kevin Spacey is one of my favorite actors, and a class act guy at that.

From the looks of the movie, it's him playing a death penalty activist who suddenly finds himself on death row, for I guess conspiracy reasons or something. It really looked like it could be an interesting movie, and I think it was also based on a true story, although I'm not too sure.

So how this could be worse than (and I'm quoting here from my memory of doing the New Release wall at Blockbuster here)

Biker Boyz

Ghost Ship

Drainiacs (They'll SUCK the life out of you!)

Not one, but *2* Steven Seagal movies The Foreigner, and Half Past Dead (featuring JA RULE)

Insomnia (one of few movies that will cure it)

Legion of Hell (another typical horror flick)

is beyond me....

ok, here's ya some spoilers

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

David Gale is supposedly getting framed for raping and killing this woman. The movie is a pretentious anti-death penalty movie. The final twist is that Gale and the girl who was murdered and some other people were in on it to make it seem like he was being framed to have done it so they can have something against the death penalty, but since he was guilty the whole time their anti-death penalty message throughout the movie is negated

I thought this would be a good movie when I heard about it but it's gotten blasted by just about everyone.

I'm still going to check it out because Spacey is my all time favorite actor and I have only seen one movie by him that I didn't like.

So in other words, it makes you feel as if you just completely wasted 120 minutes of your life?

WEEEELLLLL... I for one LIKED the movie. It had good acting and had most of the audience guessing the end (okay, I kinda figured out the end 15 minutes into it but it was clever) I REALLy don't get all the backlash. I for one enjoyed the film.
