My Escalade

Recommended Posts

Guest HBK16

I was going to post this in the general chat but I thought a lot of you would just be angry at me. So I thought I would just post it here and this way you can be free to say whatever you want.

Anyways, I went by the shop to see how my Escalade was doing. I was getting some new wheels and tires put in and my sound system. Here are the pictures of what exactly went in. As soon as I go back to my hometown, and visit my friends, and get some pictures of it developed I will post them.

Sound System

4 12" Subs in the back. Each 400 Watts max.

2 Amps to powe the subs

Finally my head unit with a 7 inch wide DVD pull out screen with remote.

And here are the 24's that my Escalade will be riding on.

Feel free to comment on anything.

I was going to call you out on your boorish braggadocio, but the post kind of implied that you are not completely unaware as to how one may think those types of things about you, braggy.

I was also going to make a point, but I forgot.

I also didn't really read your post.

How will you able to protect this vehicle from being stolen, H?

Dude, you're investing a LOT of money into this.

Most of this stuff my uncle bought for me. If you didnt already know, he bought it and didnt like it so sold it to me for 10 grand. He bought all of the audio stuff plus the installation. I had it all costum made in the back. He paid for all that. I paid for the rims. Now from protecting it from being stolen, it already had an alarm and I made a deal with my landlord that I can keep it in his garage as long as I never block his spot and he still has room for his car. I live in a bad place so protection is top priority for me.

Nice rims...Foose rims are nice shit. I like his rims because they're simple looking, aren't overdone and don't look tacky.

I like the theme you have going in the interior. Chrome, blue and flames...I like it, but don't over do it and keep it clean looking. You should get one of those chrome flame steering wheels sorta like this. Those steering wheels totally defeats the purpose of the steering wheel air bag, but unless it screws up your insurance screw the air bag.

True. It was tough looking for rims. Those cost me almost $7000 including tires. I wont go crazy and make it look like a fucking Christmas tree with more things that I need. I am planning to keep it simple. Everything I add in it will be simple.

Do you REALLY need all this stuff? I mean, I can understand wanting your car to look good, but there is such a thing as going overboard.

Well the only thing he did on the strictly appearance side was the rims. The rest of it is stereo stuff, which usually stays hidden unless you want to show it off.

That reminds me, Is the system built in a way that would allow you to use a cargo cover in the rear? If so you should consider using some sort of cover to hide the shit when you aren't wanting people looking in and seeing it.

I didnt really do much. The Rims is all you can really see. Its a bit hard to see the inside. The tint is a very dark shade. The system is pretty hard to see itself. I probably will use a cover just in case though.

A $50,000+ vehicle...

24" rims...

Windows are almost black in tint...

Hmm, I can't see why ANYONE would steal this.

OK, I'm serious here:

You seem like a great guy, H, but you're going overboard on this, and you're asking for trouble, bro. Don't take my quips as a kind of insult, but be prepared for a shitstorm from others around you.

Maybe you should add some of those Go-Go-Gadget vertical-stretch axels, Dr. Moneybags.

I can understand all the jealousy. Im an 18 year old kid in an Escalade. Whos gonna believe that? But when I already had about $20,000 saved up for a car and my grandpa sells me his Escalade for 10 with another 10 to do whatever I want with it, then its possible.

Did you get those Go-Go-Gadget add-ons like I told you, or are you still retardedly putting it off? They're not only for looking cool, big boy.

I just don't believe anyone is retarded enough to sell someone, much less an 18 year old relative, a $50,000 luxury SUV just because they "don't like it." That's practically GIVING it away and I don't know what your grandfather does for a living, but not many people have that kind of money to just throw away. What did he get to replace the 'Lac? A private jet?

Your grandpa is either suffering from alzheimer's disease or he could be just related to the guy who made up this bogus story. An Escalade for $10,000? Shit, I don't even like them that much, but I would've taken that deal. No jealousy here, though. I can afford your Escalade, just don't want one.

When he moved from Argentina he sold his real estate business he owned. He bought the Eslcalade a couple months back. Since he had it, I always wanted to drive it and loved it and he knew it. He liked it when he first saw it but didnt like driving it cuz it was too big. He sold it to me cuz he knew I really liked it for a reeeally cheap price. Bought himself the car in my sig.

So...your grandpa bought an Escalade because he's loaded.....then he sold it to you for 10 grand...then he bought an...Acura. Because that's what all the rich old men in the world drive...Acuras. I just got cut off the other day by some old hotshot in his Acura. Bastard. The story just keeps getting less and less believeable. And really, I'd live to believe you. I really would, since we don't live that far apart, and I like to hear about people from the state doing well and everything, but do you have any idea how often you're going to get mistaken for a drug dealer? Bad area of town + $50,000+ car = lots of visits from Johnny Law.

Justsoyouknow you said you live close to me. Does that mean Arizona? I live in the richest city in Arizona. I just live in the bad area of it. There are lots of Escalades in my area with rims. Its not an unusual thing to see. Theres a Jaguar dealership 2 blocks down and a Hummer one 4. Maybe I gave off the wrong impression of my area. Its not that bad but its the worse part of the nicest city in Arizona.

Is that like living in the dirtiest, seediest part of Beverly Hills? Where you have to park your own car and the bottled water is not imported?
