Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted June 16, 2003 Do HBK and Flair work the same schedule as the other WWE guys? Do those other guys get the same amount of PPV/TV match time as HBK and Flair? I think there is a huge problem with this. I think Flair works a number of house shows. HBK has been working more since Nash came back.
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted June 16, 2003 Flair is serving up instant match with fries. Chop, chop, chop, leg, figure of four = no substance. Well, considering his matches on Raw are around 5-10 minutes, what do you expect?

TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2003 As much as I hate it and want HBK/Flair to go atleast 30, Nash/HHH SHOULD be the longest match on the card considering it's the main event and is a World title match, no matter who's in there. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted June 16, 2003 Um, what about the other title matches? Which, when added up, didn't get as long as HBK and Flair? Am I the only person who sees a problem with the WWE putting two old guys above the titles?
Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted June 16, 2003 Am I the only person who sees a problem with the WWE putting two old guys above the titles? No, you're not. The length and content of Flair/HBK was OK, but the other title matches could and should have easily been longer and booked to be more important. I mean, the PPV was way short anyway and they wasted almost 30 minutes on the Redneck crap. There was plenty of time.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2003 The IC title match should've gotten more time if it had a decent decision. Prolonging it would've just further pissed off the hometown crowd, who, IMO, never recovered from Book's loss. And the tag match well...I got not explanation for that. It blew, it was short(I think the opener was longer) and Kane STILL didn't turn.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted June 16, 2003 But fundamentally speaking, Title matches should go longer, and get more attention, than every other match on the card. Talent comes and goes, titles stay.
Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted June 16, 2003 But fundamentally speaking, Title matches should go longer, and get more attention, than every other match on the card. Talent comes and goes, titles stay. Of course. They should always do the tale of the tape and in-ring introductions for title matches. And every wrestler's goal in the long term needs to be a title shot. If a wrestler waited for a title shot since forever and loses the match he should be devastated/furious/filled with rage and should try everything in his power to get another chance. He shouldn't just disappear in the midcard and forget about the whole thing (see Booker T, RVD, Kane, Cena, Jericho). Good example are Team Angle, who really seem to be devastated and furious that they lost the titles. That's good. Big Show, too.

Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 17, 2003 Did this get taken off WWE.com? I don't see it anywhere. From 1wrestling... Shawn Michaels was not happy with the amount of time he and Ric Flair were given for their match last night at Bad Blood. WWE.com quotes Michaels as saying, “I’m disappointed in the time. You had two of the best wrestlers in the world. We were given 18 minutes to wrestle. That’s b.s.” Michaels, who was fighting stomach flu all week, had said on Byte This on Friday that he wanted he and Flair to get at least a half hour for the match. I guess it made matters worse that the show ended at 10:35 and they could have easily given more time to Flair-Michaels. The word going around at the show was that the Cell match was supposed to go longer than it did, so that may be why the show ended early. Apparently, the WWE.com article that contained Michaels' quote must have ruffled a few feathers because last night the article was removed from the website, and if you try to access the page where it was posted, you are given a "The page you have requested has either been moved or removed from the site." message. ...there ya go!
