Guest BoboBrazil Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 It was up on their website earlier and now it isn't.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 In addition to that, this was posted on 411: There was reportedly a major backstage problem between Goldberg and Vince McMahon at Raw last week. The booking for the June 9 edition of Raw was largely to bury Goldberg, either out of spite or just in some kind of attempt to put heat on Jericho for the PPV match. Goldberg was scheduled to squash Rosey, then Jericho would run in and injure Goldberg’s hand. Goldberg would have left the arena, then came back and been laid out in an interview backstage with Terri. Goldberg showed up to the arena, and refused that script. Goldberg and Mcmahon had to instead work out a compromise where Goldberg wouldn’t look as weak. Goldberg’s contract is reported to be $1.5 million for one year with 6 dates per month. He had heat with management over whether or not he would go to the UK for the Insurrextion show as well. Goldberg is still expected to face HHH at Summerslam for the World Title, although it is not a lock HHH will lose the title. There are some who believe WWE would prefer if they could get out of the contract with Goldberg. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter I say good riddance to that overrated hack.
Guest Austin3164life Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 I posted it in the "Fuck Goldberg and Vince...." thread.
Guest bravesfan Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 from Hyatte's article on 411mania.com THEY SAID IT WOULD NEVER WORK… AND MAYBE THEY WERE RIGHT!!! (A MIDNIGHT NEWS EXCLUSIVE!!) Hot off the presses… courtesy of Widro as of 12:36 am est: Fan sent a letter… he went to the WWE website to check on the Badd Blood results and found this: Goldberg and WWE end Contractual Relationship World Wrestling Entertainment inc and Bill Goldberg have mutually agreed to end their contractual relationship. The WWE wishes Goldberg the best of luck in future endeavors Ten minutes later, the blurb was gone from the site. The reader had taken the picture and sent it to Widro as proof. It was there alright… see for yourself A prank? If it is, it’s not like the whole ScoopThis/Bradshaw thing… I have no knowledge of it.
Guest sean pyro Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 eh, arn't 411 the ones who are hosting that old site who used to poke fun at wrestling with fake webpages. few things strike me as odd.. like how the 'headlines' image is missing it's background and the rest of the row. and how the poll table is all messed up. but odds are i'm wrong and will find out this was real.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 eh, arn't 411 the ones who are hosting that old site who used to poke fun at wrestling with fake webpages. That is ScoopThis. The last line says: A prank? If it is, it’s not like the whole ScoopThis/Bradshaw thing… I have no knowledge of it.
Guest bravesfan Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 HAHA....it's FAKE. Check out all of the headlines under Goldberg's dismissal. They're several days old. There are PREVIEWS for Terri hosting Slammin Saturday Night and HBK on Byte This, which took place earlier over the weekend.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 I dunno. It has the Bad Blood blurb up there. I mean why would you combine half a new webpage and half an old one?
Guest bravesfan Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 I dunno. It has the Bad Blood blurb up there. I mean why would you combine half a new webpage and half an old one? It's a lazy Photoshop job. The new graphic from tonight is inserted, to take away from the old headlines the culprit didn't mess with.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 It's obviously fake. There are several glaring indicators.
Guest sean pyro Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 copy and pasted the html then edited it, thats why the errors are showing up.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 can we just pretend it's real? ps - fuck goldberg
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 can we just pretend it's real? ps - fuck goldberg Yeah, lets.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Date's missing, background behind "headlines" didn't load. You think the guy would have closed his Word window editing the wwe frontpage. DUH
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Anyone else think 411 is going to get sued one of these days (assuming the WWE actually cares about them) with all this fake nonsense they post?
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 You think the guy would have closed his Word window editing the wwe frontpage. DUH DING DING DING! We have a winner!
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 You can't sue a bunch of 12 year olds on their mom's computer...can you?
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 You can't sue a bunch of 12 year olds on their mom's computer...can you? Can and will.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 You can't sue a bunch of 12 year olds on their mom's computer...can you? The RIAA sure thinks so.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Ok I see the MS Word thing now. Geez.....you'd think that if you're going to make a hoax you wouldn't be so fucking lazy.
Guest ShooterJay Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Plus, if they were planning to end their contractual relationship, Goldberg would have jobbed tonight.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Ok I see the MS Word thing now. Geez.....you'd think that if you're going to make a hoax you wouldn't be so fucking lazy. Just noticed and thought the exact same thing.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Plus, if they were planning to end their contractual relationship, Goldberg would have jobbed tonight. Not unless the decision was made AFTER the match happened. But has there ever been a case where someone is fired so abruptly? Outside of Kronic... and Buff Bagwell... and ...
Guest BionicRedneck Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 The cretins in the creative have absolutely no idea how to book Goldberg. His entrance gets a pop, his spear gets a pop and his jackhammer get a pop. So what do WWE do? change his entrance and book him in 15 minute matches. Good way to spend $1.5 mil a year, huh?
Guest TheArchiteck Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 damn......that got me nervous as hell.....
Guest Goodear Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Someone remind me why the WWE should take the internet seriously again?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Must be hard times when you have to fake news to get hits/attention...
Guest Vyce Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Fake, but it'll be real enough before too much longer.
