Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted June 17, 2003 That's WAAAAAY too many things for just a 2 hour flick, Drop. Having the Legacy Virus just come out of left field, the Morlocks, Sentinels, and Breast transforming into his current form is too many unrelated elements for one movie(or probably even two). You're probably right. I was just sort of madly typing different ideas I've had about possible sequels. I guess the two things I really want are for Beast to be attached to a Legacy Virus storyline and Gambit to be attached to a Mr. Sinister storyline.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted June 17, 2003 why no Cable? Besides the fact that from what I remember, Cable's backstory is too long for a movie with so many other characters to deal with, that is. Cable was awesome
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted June 17, 2003 The Brotherhood needs more members, if they are going to be in the film at all. The Maximoffs are obviously the best choice, but others could be used as well. Otherwise they would simply be too out-numbered by the good guys. I would like to see more time for Cyclops before we get new members of the X-Men, but I won't deny that Colossus could be a very valuable part of a third film. Angel would be neat in a cameo appearance where he gets to use his powers, but I'm not sure I could put up with him for a whole film. Gambit is completely unecessary, and Beast isn't really needed with Nightcrawler around.
Guest NCJ Report post Posted June 18, 2003 From what I have read Jean is not going into the Dark Phoenix as in the comic book, but it will be more about the next evolution of mutants and uncharted power. To me Apocalypse in some form would be great in the next movie. Possibly working off of his ageless nature make him the first evolution of mutants. Hecould be a force who has manipulated mankind over time to create the environment of hate that the X-men face now. With his ability to shape shift they could use him as a mutant who has manipulated key moments in time like the fall of Rome, the cold War, the WWII atrocities, which would instantly get him heat with Magneto, and Jean's new evolution is his doing. This could lead to alot of things. Magneto's death, the birth of Cable in a normal storyline, or even Archangle, another mutant in the next step. You could even hint at Dark Phoenix with the way Jean deals with the others, like toying with Wolverine's emotions. I could also see them doing a battle between Jean and Xavier on the astral plane as the climax for the next movie, finally allowing Xavier to be more than a puppet at the end of the movie. After seing the way Singer dealt with X2 I have faith that he will make X3 a great movie rather he directs or not.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted June 18, 2003 I can't believe it took them two movies to realize that both BEAST AND GAMBIT were not in either movie. They were two of the ORIGINALS, as well. That's pretty sad, I think... Angel was the original, not Gambit. Gambit wasn't around till the mid- 90's.
Guest Black Lushus Report post Posted June 18, 2003 In the comics? No. But, you're right. She was in the pre-Fox X-Men cartoons. I seem to remember Dazzler being a member of the X-Men in the comics for quite awhile back in the 80s...or am i interpreting your post wrong? She was even in the X-Men side-scroller beat-em up made by Konami back in the day...

Guest Ripper Report post Posted June 18, 2003 Ah, Dazzler and Longshot quite possibly two of the most lame X-men EVER... Of course they did make Shatterstar which means they weren't all bad.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted June 18, 2003 PRYDE OF THE X-MEN!!! THAT'S what it was called. I couldn't remember the name for the life of me.

Wasn't "Pryde of the X-Men" the basis for the Konami 2/4/6 person X-Men arcade game??
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 18, 2003 but he was replying to another post about whether she was in the comics or not... Dazzler may have been in the comics (80's), but I swear she was not apart of the original X-Men. I believe they were: Beast (before experiment), Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Angel, and Professor X. Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted June 18, 2003 I've never seen the movies... But, is Juggernaut in X-Men or X2? If not, he should be in the third. Juggernaut is bad fucking ass.
