Guest Downhome Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 You guys remember that fucking chessy picture they released of Leatherface from the upcoming remake of TCM? It looked like a totally professional mask, different that how it SHOULD look, etc... Anyway, here is an actual still from the film of the big guy himself, and not a promo type shot. A short piece about it follows... Not satisfied with Entertainment Weekly's love it/hate it exclusive GQ-like look at the new Leatherface that surfaced last month? Feast your eyes on this. This is the first official publicity still of Leatherface working his magic on the set and I gotta say, I dig it. Since our report a few months back regarding heavy reshoots on Marcus Nispel's 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' remake, many of us thought it was a tad extreme to shove the film back five months from its projected October release date. After all, we're only talking reshoots. Major productions do it all the time and still make their release date. But we've learned more since that news. For one, those "heavy" reshoots were incredibly light. And, supposedly, a crowded season seemed to be the reason New Line flinched and moved 'TCM' until early '04. Well, now Filmjerk is reporting that New Line's has perhaps realized that maybe October ain't so bad after all; they've pulled the remake back to its original release date slot. October 17th, to be precise. That's good news...um, in a way. I'll speak for most of you when I say: now we'll get to see how bad the film is sooner. ...I still don't expect anything that much from this project, but I have my fingers crossed. If nothing else, we get this... ...mmmmmmmmmm, a sweaty and frightened Jessica Biel, heh. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 I don't see it...just a red x... EDIT: Oh, NOW it decides to work...
Guest El Satanico Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 I fail to be impressed by that. I mean come on It's a shadowy picture. Anything will look good when covered in the shadows. A Cabbage Patch Kid could look threatening when covered by shadows.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 God I wish they wouldn't remake classic horror films...I'm cringing at the thought of the new Dawn of the Dead. Other then a younger cast and bigger budget can they offer anything new?

Guest two_tuff_toddy Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 "A cabbage patch kid also looks threatening in the light." Not nearly as threatening as Teddy Ruxpin though. I actually had a nightmare about that damn thing when I was a kid.
