Guest ShooterJay Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 (edited) Last night I cut a deal with the the press secretary of the Internet Wrestling Syndicate (IWS) in Quebec, who now posts here as Llakor. Myself, Thomas Green and Sandman9000 will each receive tapes from the promotion, -one of us will receive the masters, and dub 2nd gens to the other two- and review them right here, in a DVDVR-ish roundtable discussion. This is an ongoing project that will also cover other indys- CZW, IWA, ROH etc. The reviews will be completely unbiased of course, as the three of us are not blatant shills and have the highest integrity. Thomas' stuff is on the site already, and Sandman's few CZW reviews on the forum have been blowaway stuff. Myself, I am unproven, and as Dames will attest, probably not as good as the other two, but I am in fact, I swear, majoring in communications and write semi-professionally, so you know my work won't be crap. So, TSMers, expect a blowaway sample column in the next few weeks. It's mutally benefiical, because the 3 of us get tapes, IWS gets more exposure for their product, and TSM gets the services of two more excellent reviewers and credit for discovering said new product. Regardless, I resolve to actually get off my ass and review what I've got. TOD is definite, before I go down for TOD2, and will most likely do a preview for that, either separately or combined with the review. BOTB2 and/or 3 and COD4 are also potentials, as well as one of the Fake You eps on my hard drive. Yeah, so stay tuned for da indy review squad.

While my convo's with Thomas have been minimal, Jay and Sandman are two of my best "online friends" and to a great extent are responsible for my recent induction into the CZW and Ring of Honor fan clubs. As far as IWS, I am just beginning to learn about them, and if certain things pan out, see a lot more of them. This is great news for all indy fans here at TSM, as well as those who are getting turned off by the WWE product.

Dames' TNA diatribes and the connections some of our posters have to them were a good first step to distinguishing from the pack, and this looks like another. Good luck, gentlemen.

I was trying to set up a thing like that with MCW(Marylandchampionship wrestling) w/ me reviewing their tapes and interviewing them and whatnot, but then they decide to shutdown. Hopefully, sooner or later I'll get an indy star review onTSM.
