Okay, what do I need to do/buy

Besides the obvious (system, game) what will I need to be able to play the game on an American system?

And as a side note, for those that were worried about no U.S. wrestlers, their heads are in the game so everything's gonna be ok.

The Fire Pro games on GBA, and any GBA games for example, require no conversion. Of course, you probably need to know Japanese.

Japanese GBA carts play on American GBAs, though.

Dreamcast: Get a DC-X, which a converter disc.

Saturn: There are memory cartridges which act as converters. The 8 Meg cartridges also allow you to store tons of created wrestlers and back up saves from the Saturn's internal RAM.

RAM carts--different because they just allow you to play games such as X-Men vs. Street Fighter and can't be played without it, also work as converters. But you can't save on them.

Playstation: If you have a model 1 Playstation, you can use a Game Enhancer, which comes with instructions on how to play imports using it.

Otherwise I'm not sure. I think that game enhancers like Action Replays also can do the job, but I'm not certain.

Sorry that I don't know anything about the conversion on the newer systems.

The PS2 is not the most import friendly of the systems. You will need a "Flip Top" to play such games. I'm not too learned on this subjetc (as I simply bought a JPN PS2), but I know it doesn't work with all games (from seeing posts on other boards though, it does seem to work with FPZ).

Google for Flip Tops and see what comes up. Also check out the FPZ board over at GameFAQs.

Sony is pretty pissy about letting people import. They've designed the PS, the follow ups to the PS, and the PS2 to prevent importing as much as possible.
