Will this station just feature Liberal Democrats? Or will it feature Liberal Republicans and Independants?

I couldn't imagine them keeping out people such as Jim Jeffords.

The liberal media myth is one of the most absurd notions in all of politics. Stations are out to get ratings, not push their political agenda...

Jumping in late...

Of course, I can speak only for myself, but when I say "liberal bias" I don't mean an active slanting of coverage. Liberals don't sit down each morning trying to decide how to stick it to conservatives. However, you can't dispute the fact that a large majority of the broadcasting world is liberal. And I agree with you that they aren't all idealogues.

But liberal broadcasters are surrounded by fellow liberals at work, and most likely associate with liberals at home. So it is natural for them to assume that their viewpoint is the normal, middle-of-the-road one. When someone says, "I don't know anyone who supports the war," they probably are speaking the truth. When Dan Rather refers to pro-life as a radical stance, it's probably because pro-choice is the only viewpoint he's ever known and the only one offered by his constituents.

So, "liberal bias" is just a natural process, if you will, where those covering an issue think they are offering fair coverage because everyone they know shares the same stance. In reality, they are being irresponsible in terms of not seeking out the opposing viewpoint.

I've noticed some people seem to think acceptance of gays is a liberal idea. This is untrue. There are many conservatives (good people) who could care less about who someone sleeps with. Even though I lean left I realize that there are a lot of intelligent conservatives (just not on talk radio).
