Guest ShamRock Report post Posted June 19, 2003 Well, I bought Platoon: SE from Columbia House. After I received it in the mail, I watched it. It's a great movie, top notch acting and it tells the story perfectly. Yesterday I let my Vietnamese friend borrow it. After he watched it, he told me, "There were no niggers sent to Vietnam during the war. This is a fake movie." he repeated twice. I tried to argue with him, but he's one of those that think Juwanna Man and xXx were great movies. But this thread is not about that. Were blacks sent to war in Vietnam? I am sure they were, but I just wanted to double-check. Shammy
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted June 19, 2003 If this is a serious question, yes. If this is some type of joke, go ask Cassius Clay instead. I'm sure he'll tell you.
Guest ShamRock Report post Posted June 19, 2003 This is a serious question. If it wasn't, why would I post it? To amuse myself?
Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 19, 2003 This is a serious question. If it wasn't, why would I post it? To amuse myself? Hey, more moronic things go on here, so we never know nowadays.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted June 19, 2003 This is a serious question. If it wasn't, why would I post it? To amuse myself? Considering your friend's "response" to the movie, I didn't think this was a serious question. My apologies on the hostility in the first response, though. Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted June 19, 2003 Unless all blacks during the late '60s and early '70s were rich I'd venture to guess there might have been one or two in Asia at the time. Oh, and I have the Platoon SE as well. Good stuff...
