Where the hell are the Black Hawk Down...

Okay I'm just a little surprised that this 3 disc set came out a couple weeks ago and not ONE of the DVD review sites I frequent has reviewed it. This thing is packed. Even though it's 1 disc less it matches the other 2001 Bruckheimer War movie Pearl Harbor in terms of sheer wealth. Plus it's a MUCH better movie.

The set includes-

3 Audio Commentaries: Ridley Scott/Jerry Bruckheimer, Mark Bowden/Ken Nolan, and 4 Army Rangers who were in Mogadishu

A 2 1/2 hr Documentary on the making of the film

Additional featurettes on design, title sequences, storyboards and 'Ridleygrams', Bruckheimer's Photo Album, Galleries, 20 minutes of deleted scenes with optional Scott commentary.

2 documentaries on the true story, A History Channel one (100 minutes) and a PBS one (60 minutes), mission timeline, multi-angle sequences, 30 minutes of Q & A forums, music video, trailers & TV spots and poster concepts.

I got it at Sam's Club for less then 30 plus tax. I've only begun to scratch the surface with it.

If anyone else got it, what do you think, and if you found any reviews on DVD sites let me know (I always like to see what others think).

Where the hell are you looking? I found two within the span of maybe a minute and a half of searching. Anyway, enjoy...

Maybe I'm just a little slow today, but why would you link him to one of the exact reviews I linked him to just one post before you?

Sorry about that, I misread one of your links.

Maybe becasue the movie was highly overrated and is no more then just another war movie.

Nothing special.

It's my second or third favorite "war movie" of all time, and without a doubt my favorite on the topic of wars/battles from the past twenty years.

All I know is that DVD File, Review, Town, Angle, Journal, and Verdict didn't have one.

But thanks for the links

And Downhome, I think I agree with you about the set.
