Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted March 28, 2002 After re-watching the draft from Monday, I noticed the whole thing was screwy. The way it happend. The people picked in the top 20, and basically the whole way the people were picked out of spite. Lita made top 20 and Not someone good like Tazz? LOL. Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Flair should have been trying to draft for quality, not to piss of Vince. The shows should have been balanced better and given Raw more star power. They should have had NO matches (except for the main) and just draft all night....everyone from refs to announcers IMO. Dames

Guest Some Guy Report post Posted March 28, 2002 I don't see how Tazz could have even been considered a top 20 pick. Look at how he has been used by WWF. I didn't like how a lot of the draft went but hopefully trades and what not will fix it. I did like Angle being #2, Benoit #3, and Rock #1 for Vinces side. I do question drafting a guy who won't be back for 2 months and not doing a free agent angle, but at least they remembered him and apparently value him. Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 28, 2002 I agree with Dames. Flair should of picked on quality. It was almost like they did the draft that way just to show Vince off as a genius picking talent.
Guest X-Factor Corperation Report post Posted March 28, 2002 It's nice that Vince got the good talent since I get smcakdown. -Essa Rios
Guest mastermind Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Well, first Mcmahon and Flair should explain why their show would beat the other. There should have been a damn theme for each division. You know like wcw's old crappy where the big boys play compared to over 50 years the revolutionary force in sports entertainment(which was a lie since the wwf came into being in 1963). Give a reason why they picked who they did. I thought it was going to be great until Flair picked the damn nWo. It went downhill from there. It just became a cat and mouse pick. Mark Henry in the top 20? The wwf should have also stretched it to SmackDown with the next 20 picks. Then insert the "lottery" to keep fans still wondering who read the spoilers. Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted March 28, 2002 i would never have done the draft in the first place.... but if i had i would have split the roster way differently. Raw: hardcore wrestlers midcard wrestlers tag team some main event smackdown: main event crusierweights womens
Guest justcoz Report post Posted March 28, 2002 I would have pretty much made Raw look like Nitro. NWO, Hogan, Booker T, Chris Benoit, Raven, DDP, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrerro, Rey Mysterio, cruiserweights (Shannon Moore, Hurricane, Jamie Knoble, Billy Kidman, Tajiri, Hardy's, etc.), William Regal, Lance Storm, etc. Smackdown would have had the names UPN wanted from the WWF, The Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Triple H, etc. while taking guys like Edge, Brock Lesnar, Rob Van Dam, Rhyno, Test, etc. to the next level. Guest mastermind Report post Posted March 28, 2002 Justcoz that is pretty simple and actually I think that would have been great. Give RAW the I-C and cruiserweight titles. Give SmackDown the Euro and hardcore titles and let the new triple crown float(men and women's world's title and world tag team title).
Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted March 29, 2002 i would never have done the draft in the first place.... but if i had i would have split the roster way differently. Raw: hardcore wrestlers midcard wrestlers tag team some main event smackdown: main event crusierweights womens That is the fucking stupidest idea I've heard in a while. They should have had NO matches (except for the main) and just draft all night....everyone from refs to announcers IMO. Yeah, to really piss off the people who paid to see the show. It just became a cat and mouse pick. Mark Henry in the top 20? Of course. Vince wanted Lesnar bad after watching him spike his previous pick (Rikishi). Flair takes him, so Vince tries counters with another big guy. I thought the one-upsmanship was a logical thing to add. And about the draft on the whole ... who cares if Big Show was picked where he was? I saw a lot of whining about Lita being the picked, but I saw that as Flair wanting to guarantee himself the most popular female in the company. It doesn't mean he thinks Lita's better wrestler than Christian or whatever. Yeah, the rosters did come out weird ... I'll agree with those who said that. But complaining about the order of the selections? Just find that a bit silly.
Guest RepoMan Report post Posted March 29, 2002 I think they should have made it specail show, and basically rip off the NFL draft. They could of had trades and stuff, and end of drafting the entire roster. I think Vince and Flair should of had the offecail choice to draft tag-teams as teams, or as individuals just so it made more sense. I would not have split up the Dudleyz, thats just retared. They're great as a team, and there's a shortage of tag-teams of there, and they suck as individual wrestlers.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted March 29, 2002 i'd trade rvd for hogan. and i'd make sure austin got on smackdown. that's about as much meat with as little fat on one roster that i could ask for. and with a lot of casual fans seemingly saying that raw is the stronger show, it's getting more likely that austin will be on smackdown (ESPECIALLY if vince lets him pick). muahahahaha...
