I've always wondered this. Watching him and Benoit tear the house down at Superbrawl 3, I couldn't get how come he didn't make it big anywhere(except slightly in ECW). He had the talent, the mic skills, the look, but always sort of just disappeared.

Anyone know why or have any theories as to why he never made it anywhere?

He made shawn feel insecure about his umm...MANHOOD and refused to have him pushed...

I would like to state the obvious...............too bad Teddy Long was not around back then to Get Funky with Scorpio.

I always wondered why Scorpio wasn't really pushed as well specifically in the WWF. If everything was done right I think he would've been big. Maybe it was a combination of the clique, being from WCW, stupidity and rasicm.

Wildpegasus-still upset at the WCW screwing up the time of the Superbrawl III match midway through.

He had mic skills, but they never let him talk in WCW, plus he was a jr heavyweight.

He was basically The Godfather before The Godfather in WWF/E, as the Flash Funk gimmick had him coming out with the girls, in the fur coat, etc. Had they let him take the mic and go crazy in the ring, you KNOW he would have been super over. If a no talent slug like Charles "Kama Shango" Wright can get over on minimal talent, imagine what Scorpio could have done.

I about creamed myself when he hit the 450 in WCW for the first time, I had never seen anything like that then.

He was arrested Wrestlemania 13 weekend in Chicago and Vince killed the push and got rid of the Funkettes immediately. Not like the push was that great before then...

Flash Funk is my favorite wrestler of all time.

I recetnly watched the Clash where he debuted and when he hits the 450 and a dead crowd goes crazy and JR nearly has a heart attack.

But yah he had all the tools to make it big but never did. WCW could've done so much with him(and Benoti for that matter) after Superbrawl 3. But they gave him one title match with Windham and just buried him.

Getting rid of the Funkettes and going back to calling him "Scorpio" was probably the best "punishment" I've ever seen. I hated the Flash Funk gimmick.

But that happened much later. He wrestled as heatless Flash Funk for a long while before he "redebuted" as Terry Funk's partner at Raw in Philadelphia.

Although they got a push and won every match with the 450...it didn't last long. Then they put him with Farooq and they started to win every match as well, but they ended up jobbing (I think) to Bradshaw and Terry Funk at an IYH. When ACOLYTES COLLIDE!

If I'm not mistaken his 450 was called "The Diss That Don't Miss" in WCW

I know that, but I'm pretty sure that's what they called Scorp's move

Who remembers his rap video from WCW... it was of those things that was so bad it was good. I can still remember the song...

Flash funk was just........out there for all of 1997 without anything notable except being one of Kanes first victims.

He was re-named Scorpio post Wrestlemania XIV. Why not just call him 2 Cold scorpio? I guess he was STILL in the dog house.

Wasn't he released for drug use or something? (Probably wrong).

All I remember was a reallly high pitched whiny woman's voice singing "Everybody here comes 2 Cold Scorpion" over a cheesy beat

Yes, but you have to see it with the video to get the full effect. Said line is "sung" by a lip-synching little girl who is, shall we say, a bit on the corpulent side. Then of course, there's this exchange:

Kids: "We're going to the game room!"

Scorpio: "What do you mean you're going to the arcade?"
