Flair puts HHH over...

Recommended Posts

Guest Boo_Bradley

I was just reading the PWI 15th Anniversity issue from 1994 and in the News section, they put over the fact that Flair has been scouting young Terra Ryzing, and likes what he see's in the youngster.

Exact quote forthcoming!

If only we knew back then what we know now...

Ric Flair likes what he sees in young Terra Ryzing, a former protege of Killer Kowaski.  People say he resembles the "Nature Boy"  If he's looking for a mentor, Ryzing won't find many better than Flair.

Well...that would have been laughed at 9 years ago, so I guess I can laugh at it now.

HA-HA!

I want a picture of Flair hand washing Hunter's jock now. That would complete the story.

So now I know who is responsible....

Granted it is Tom Zenk who keeps bringing it up on his website, but wasn't there some bad bad blood between Flair and HHH from WCW circa that period (94-95) that makes Flair being HHH's cabana boy some sort of cosmic karma hitting Ric?

Yeah because Flair has never been known as a backstage politician... riiiight....

As far as I'm concerned, they're a perfect fit for eachother.

I believe the drama came about when they turned the Terra Ryzing character into the Jean-Paul Levesque one. HHH said something about having no clue how to talk in a French accent, and Flair said to "talk like the detective from Pink Panther movies" during interviews.

I remember Trips as Terra Ryzing and the announcers saying he looked like a young Flair.

My memory's a bit off as to specifics, but I recall him redebuting as LeVesque. He was briefly aligned with Lord Steven Regal during Regal's month-long feud with Larry Zbyszko.

I don't recall any interviews, but I didn't get the Saturday Night show, just Worldwide and Pro on regional networks.

I also saw Trips live in November 1994. He had a ponytail with a silky white ribbon. He and Paul Roma jobbed to Marcus Bagwell and the Patriot.

I can't really guess as to what Flair had in mind for him (he left in January or February 1995). Flair was really pushing Alex Wright, even wrestling Wright himself a few times.

He and Regal were lined up to dethrone Harlem Heat of the tag belts but Triple H jumped to the WWF so that he could gain more in-ring experience by spending time out on the road, even though the pay was less.
