Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted June 21, 2003 If it wasn't for Pixar, Disney should stop making movies, and make all the money from Disneyland
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 21, 2003 **hands Satanico a copy of The Land Before Time IV** :files it under mind numbingly bad direct to video sequels: I was referring to all of them when I said Beethoven 3 and Air Bud 3.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted June 21, 2003 This is the way I look at it: Kids today have a lot more to choose from. There is a lot of bad stuff out there though. In the 80's there wasn't as much to choose from. It's harder for a show to be noticed as much people. There are a lot of horrable shows and movies out there but there's still good stuff to be found if you look hard enough. I think when we older people look back it's a combination of notsgolia and quality. For example I just finished watching the first season of Transformers and noticed there were only a few good episodes here. The charactors were still cool but overall the episodes were just there. However I haven't watched any of the other seasons so there could be an improvement. I do know that the episodes that were released on VHS awhile back were definitely good though. My limited rewatching of He-Man has also lead me to believe that notsgolia is playing its card on me.(still fun though). However, on the other side of the coin I rescently watched Astroboy unedited and was just blown away on how great it was. Simply fantastic! I think kid's movies are worse now but it's hard to say since I never really watched too many kid movies ever. The quality of Disney has definitely gone down though. I think they tried changing things up and just failed.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted June 21, 2003 Oh man......that's another thing that pissed me off. The constant sequels to Land Before Time. I loved the first one....and these were just uncalled for. BTW did anyone watch Dinoriders?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted June 21, 2003 Dinosaucers was Transformers but with Dinosaurs and no transforming. Actually, they did. They could turn into their primative earth-like counterparts. Ex. Allo could transform into an allosaur.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted June 22, 2003 "the constant sequels to Land Before Time" Biggest dropoff of quality of any movie sequels ever.

I loved the first one....and these were just uncalled for. BTW did anyone watch Dinoriders? I loved loved LOVED Dinoriders. My cousin still has the first episode on tape. AND the ep where they introduced the Stegosaurus. Fun show. Haven't watched them in awhile, though. And the toys were swank. Probably my favorite next to GI Joes and Beast Wars action figures. Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted June 22, 2003 I liked "Dinosaurs," that show on ABC where the baby said "I'm the baby!" There were probably jokes I didn't get then, so the show may end up being better now than it was then. Odd.
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted June 22, 2003 I liked the show Dinosaurs as well, though I suppose it was a rather blatant Simpsons rip off. I didn't notice that really, until the Simpsons made a crack about it on their show, but I was stupid back then. I keep wanting to call the father from Dinosaurs Carl, but that was Family Matters... it was something like Carl. Earl, maybe. I think Sherman Helmsley was the voice of his boss. That was good. Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted June 22, 2003 Hemsley, not Helmsley. George Jefferson never held anyone down-uh, not even Mr. Bentley-uh.
Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted June 22, 2003 There was stuff I loved in the 80s but looked back on and hated...and vice versa... The Transformers Movie actually kinda scared me as a kid... because it was so dark...now i love (and have the poster on my wall) I never watched GI Joe until now.... it's kinda weird really...but whatever...as long as I'm entertained
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted June 22, 2003 I liked Dinosaurs. There was this one episode where Robbie took steroids. Pretty damn funny. Not the mama!
