Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted June 21, 2003 Who in the hell decided that the King Of Trolls would make a good columnist? Bad Blood isn't as bad as Judgment Day. Agreed on the face/heel thing. Even Disney has a brand of stuff based on their villains because a number of grown-ups love the bad guys (Maleficent = Bad Ass, Oogie Boogie = Funny & Cool) etc. There even used to be a Villains Store at Disneyland and they were planning a Villains toontown. Anyway, point of this is, they need to accept some people will like heels. Merchandising seems to understand this (HHH merchandise, Rock merchandise, What? shirts during Austin's heel run, etc) but there's a group of people who like heels because they're heels (The NWO brought WCW that group in spades) and an even larger group of people who like one particular wrestler and will like him whether he's face or heel. No matter how big a face/heel disposition these wrestlers have, these fans won't care. You started talking about Test and I blacked out. Sorry.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 21, 2003 Who in the hell decided that the King Of Trolls would make a good columnist? That was uncalled for. And Scar is one of the coolest villains ever.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted June 21, 2003 Good column, good column. Sure, it's nothing we having discussed several times already, but brings up several good cases and thoroughly explores the questions. Although... "Which brings us to the problem of talent being unable to pull off their character. But that, of course, is a story for another day." Sean O'Haire I'm guessing? Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 21, 2003 I'm waiting with baited breath for the "Everything that's wrong with Kurt Angle's push" series (because I know you'll never hold that one to just one column). The first one was the reader's digest version. I'm trying not to do that, though.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 21, 2003 Spell it the conventional way, damnit! Well, at least I always get it right in the column. BTW, this is beneficial to you. Since you're the author I mention most, my loyal readership (all three of them) now has easy access to your columns.
