Guest fazzle Report post Posted June 21, 2003 $4 for a large, and open til 4 AM? Gumby's just became my favorite pizza place recently because of that. Pizza might not be that great(not bad either, just not that good) but it's cheap as hell, and that's good enough for me. I feel like they should be paying me for that message. Corportate bastards. Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted June 22, 2003 All the "Mom & Pop" Pizza Shops around here close @ 10. Domino's closes @ 2. Is Gumby's a small chain ? Like you would only find one in NC ? I doubt they have one in NYC, though.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted June 22, 2003 Our Dominos closes at midnight. All the M&P are closed by 930 I try to get Pizza Hut as much as I can though.

Well, their webpage says they have stores in 18 states, but it doesn't say how many total, so I don't know really how large it is.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted June 22, 2003 There was a place called Pennsylvania Pizza up at the stinkhole known as State College that had $3/4 pizzas, too. Due to my work schedule I spent many a late night walking over there to get a pie...
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted June 27, 2003 First of all, glad to see a fellow North Carolinian on this board. And I think my parents went to that place one time during their most recent vacation. Said it took about an hour to get the pizza delivered, and when it got to the hotel it was cold. Guest y2jailbait Report post Posted June 27, 2003 There's one here in Lawrence, KS. I remember once we ordered a large pizza at about 3 a.m., the damn thing didn't even get delivered. We later found out that they shelfed it and delivered it to us the next day at like 2 p.m. Wierdest pizza story I've ever had the priviledge to tell.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted June 27, 2003 ....makes me glad they don't deliver, and I actually have to go pick it up.
Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted June 28, 2003 They seem to gravitate (Gumby's Pizza) towards big college towns. I had it once at Penn State (right before going to RAW) and it was great. Pokey Stick's RULE. (It's a whole pizza sized piece of bread, cut into breadsticks that you can pull apart.) That's like crack to an Italian Carb Fiend such as myself. Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted June 28, 2003 Damn, now that you mention it, I believe I had Gumby's once at Sappy Valley. It wasn't bad, but then again my standards for taste aren't that high to begin with...

Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Report post Posted June 28, 2003 Back in Manhatten, KS where I used to live, there was a little pizza shop called Pizza Shuttle. Best Pizza Ever.
Guest SweetNSexyDiva Report post Posted June 29, 2003 There's a place near downtown San Diego called Broadway's Pizza... and if you are a hotel clerk (which a friend of mine was), you can get a pizza for free if you have a coupon.. The funny thing, everytime you use a coupong, they give you another one! And they were open until 3 am. And they had more than just pizza... they had poppers, chichen nuggets, pasta, salads, sandwiches, and lots of other great stuff. Delivery was free.

Guest godthedog Report post Posted July 13, 2003 yeah, gumby's is a college town phenomenon. i remember ordering a pizza for delivery at maybe 2:30, waiting over an hour for it, then finally having to go PICK IT UP MYSELF because they forgot to deliver it. but then while i was on the way, somebody picked it up and finally tried to deliver it, so i had to wait till he GOT BACK till i could get my pizza. it was about 4:00 by the time i got it. i used to eat it all the time back when i was living in a dorm (cause the place was right across the street), but i can't imagine how i could eat so much of it, because it's just bad pizza. the pokey sticks rule, but the pizza itself just sucks.
