I think that the show has really picked back up, seeing as I wasn't totally happy with the last season.  What do you guys think.

It's definitely better now that Butters has replaced Kenny who had gotten stale. Cartman is still the highlight of the show, though. "Whatever, whatever, I do what I want".

The Aspen episode was great, the Maury Povich one somewhat less so if just for the fact that Matt & Trey were WAY too creative in making up really hideous deformities.

Oh yeah, and what the hell happened to Kenny?  Supposedly he's dead permanently now, when did this happen?  And where the hell did Butters come from?

The Aspen one was funny as hell.  I mean, isn't every ski movie just like that?

The one last night had me laughing.  Especially the part with Stan not eating meat and the doctors saying that the he had little vaginas all over his face and eventually would have turned to one big pussy.

And I missed it too, but how did they finally kill off Kenny, i just know that Butters was there.  They really treat that kid like shit.

At the end of last season, Kenny was in the hospital with some disease and he died, apparently permanently.  Remember the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Madonna?

Butters is an awesome character.  He makes me laugh almost every time he says anything.

"I know.  We'll kill Butters and float out on a river of blood."

"Butters doesn't have that much blood in him."

"Yes I do!"

I about died laughing when he told his parents to "suck my fat one."

The only bad season, IMO, was the one just before "The 4th Grade" season(s) kicked off. But the Earth Day episode, which did happen just last season (which doesn't seem to be a favorite) kicked ass on all sorts of levels.

More reasons why Trey Parker is my comedic idol...

The new season so far has gotten a thumbs up from me.

And ever since that Butters special, I've been hoping for the little guy to land a bigger role...

They are fucking hilarious, example:

Butter's Dad: "What are you doing son?"

Cartman: "Well, I'm sitting here jackin' it."

Butter's Dad: "What?"

Cartman: "My hot spicy boner of course."

Butter's Dad: "What the hell did you just say!"

They're pretty good, but I think this series should be the last, before they ruin it. I don't see it having the longevity of the Simpsons.

I've said this before, but ever since Parker and Stone stopped trying to shock everyone, "South Park" has become awesome. I used to hate the show, but now it's one of my favorites, thanks to episodes like the Towelie one, the one where they go to Afghanistan, the one where Kyle's Jewish cousin Kyle comes, and last night's Russell Crowe episode. Holy shit, that was some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen.

"C'mere, ya scrowtum! Ya freakin' Pehta Ricans!"

i totally agree tazmission. the whole afghanistan show has to be my favorite episode of them all. the part with cartman and bin laden done like it was a looney toon cartoon was just brilliant.

I have found the newer episodes enjoyable as well.  Butters is a great character, especially when there's dialogue between him and his dad.
