Why I hate Bob Clarke

Recommended Posts

Guest the pinjockey

First I got pissed at the handling of Roman Cechmanek, but was willing to give the benefit of the doubt that something else would be fixed (As of today, still waiting).

Now, he trades Marty Murray to Carolina for a 6th round pick. That is retarded. At first sight it may seem to be one of those "Trade a nothing for nothing", but Murray is the perfect type of guy for Philly. He is all motor and heart. If you just look at the stats you probably don't think much of it. It is a common trend though where they constantly trade away these fourth line muckers and grinders that the fans love and put some energy into the team, but get nothing back in return. Rob DiMaio, PJ Stock, Daymond Langkow, the list goes on and on. I am glad it is so necessary to trim the payroll that you trade away great heart guys to keep around the gutless wonder of a captain at 5 mil a year.

Well, Chris will have the pic, but I'll substitute this:

To make a list of all the reasons why Clarke is so hate-able would take far too long. I think it'd be easier to create a list of why he's a good GM (or even a list of why he's a good human being.)

As soon as I think of any reasons whatsoever, I'll post them (although I don't foresee me needing to post anything any time soon)

Well, there's...

um...

hang on a sec...

Well, he didn't fire his coach and replace him with a guy who was just beaten by his team, and fired for it (Note to Joe Dumars: Instant karma can be a bitch). That's not actually a good thing, but it's something that I could see Clarke do...
