Guest Renegade Report post Posted June 23, 2003 Over the weekend my computer has ceased to work. When I turned it on I get this message: "Ready for EC/KBC update. Place the EC/KBC update diskette in the drive and press any key when ready to proceed" There is no way I can bypass this screen. I have been told that this has to do with my keyboard. Any help please?
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Report post Posted June 23, 2003 Q: What should I do if I see this message? A: First, turn the computer off. If the cause is a stuck [Tab] key, you may be able to un-stick it by tapping the [Tab] key several times. Turn the computer back on. If you don't see "Ready for EC/KBC update", congratulations, you fixed a stuck [Tab] key. If you do see the "Ready for EC/KBC update" message, you should contact a Toshiba Authorized Service Centre and have the system serviced. You can locate a Toshiba Authorized Service Centre near you at http://www.toshiba.ca/support, or you can contact Toshiba Support at 1-800-663-0378 and arrange to have your system repaired at the Toshiba Notebook Depot. source: http://209.167.114.38/support/TechSupport/.../-TSB000821.htm
