Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Now...if only we could have a Stupidest Big 3 (four if you want to include the new NWA) title changes... That would be EASY to get a top 10 for... Wouldn't that just be WCW 1998-2001? I'm open to suggestions for that list. In fact, if you'd like to compile one, I'll include it next week. Nik
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Well, just off the top of my head... 1) (and really, 2 through 186544856 as well) David Arquette beats Eric Bischoff for DDP's world title 2) Vince Russo wins Booker T's title in 2000 3) Fingerpoke Of Doom 4) Big Lazy awards himself the title after stripping Sid in 2000 5) Big Lazy defeats Fuck Goldberg at Starrcade 98, ending the winning streak 6) Lex Luger defeats Barry Windham at Bash 91 for the title vacated by Ric Flair 7) Ron Garvin beats Flair for the title in 1987, to set up losing it back to him at the end of the year because no one else would do it 8) Luger beats Hollywood Hogan on Nitro prior to title match that weekend, where he drops it back to Hogan 9) Savage wins World War 3 in 1995 for the title, but can't even win that clean, as Hogan was eliminated by dubious means 10) Benoit wins the title from Sid in 2000 and vacates the next day, leaving for WWF

Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Well let me get out my imaginary copy of Foley is Good since I don't own one and direct you to the correct page. Anyways I know it's in the book. I remember reading over that part. Plus I've heard it said numerous times in other places(meltzer, the torch) that they didn't want Ventura to raise the heels hand. Besides what did Austin do 2 months later? Job to HHH.......
Guest DarkHollywood Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Jobbing the TITLE to him and jobbing as the challenger are two different things. And to cap it off Austin jobbed thanks to Rock missing a sledgehammer shot (I think that was it) and nailnig him by mistake.
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Well let me get out my imaginary copy of Foley is Good since I don't own one and direct you to the correct page. So you want me to take your word for it, even though I read the chapter only 6 hours ago?

JasonX 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2003 So, if Triple H wasn't made the whipping boy for the Kliq he would be a much better person today? Sort of. If anything, having to watch Steve Austin take his spot at KOTR 96 and become a mega-star the likes of which the industry had not seen since Hulk Hogan's run in the mid-1980s probably poisoned HHH's mind to the concept of burying ANYONE who was a threat to him in terms of his spot in the company in order to prevent someone coming along like Austin did and steal his spot from him. It's also probably why he also has sucked off Vince like he has, in order to ensure that Vince never kills his push and bury him in the same fashion again... Guest whatitistoburn Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Evil Twins are classic. How you gonna put that on the list? And of course if they did it today, people would bitch, because it's been done before.
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Evil Twins are classic. How you gonna put that on the list? Sorry... I thought it was a silly idea. And of course if they did it today, people would bitch, because it's been done before. The point was "if that angle was done today, instead of 1988..." Guest ViciousFish Report post Posted June 25, 2003 The reason it worked was because it was the first time and it wasn't too known that Dave had a twin. Today it would bomb because people are used to the same 3 screw job endings (interference, botched weapon or weapon) and everyone knows Earl has a twin because they show him backstage all the time. Plus they don't look too alike anymore.
