Guest TUS_02 Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 So... if you could only pick 1 movie to watch tomorrow with the two hyped movies... which one would it be?
Guest starvenger Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 I picked Panic Room. I'm not planning on seeing either but seeing as Robin Williams ceased to be funny a decade or so ago, the choice is obvious.
Guest J*ingus Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 I always sneak in early and see two or three movies at a time, so it's not an issue with me, heh.
Guest Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 I'd probably watch both, but if I could only see one, I'd see Panic Room.
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 Panic Room. Death To Smoochy just looks like too much to handle.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 I'm not in any big hurry to see either but i think i'm seeing Panic Room this weekend so oh well. I think Death To Smoochy may turn out to be Robin Williams first funny movie in a long time. The dark humor gives it a much needed edge that his movies have been missing for many years. He's mainly been doing goofy kid friendly crap comedy in his comedic movies for way too long. I think the dark edge will be a much welcomed change for him and he won't come off as annoying.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 I saw Panic Room on Teusday. Free passes rule.
Guest KOR420 Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 screw both of these movies,im going to see blade 2 tomorrow
Guest imajackoff? Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 Neither. Im just killing time until spiderman comes out.
Guest hardyz1 Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 Probably Panic Room. Last night I went to see Beautiful Mind. It was good, and it was definitely the kind of movie the Academy loves. I still liked LOTR better, though.
Guest Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 I'm still pissed Training Day didn't win best movie of the year....Beutiful Mind sucked compared to it...but BM is an Oscar Friendly movie....bleh. Ethan Hawke deserved some recognation too.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Where's The Scorpion King? HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA
Guest Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 I'm still waiting for Episode II even though it will probably suck just like Ep I.
Guest J*ingus Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Saw Panic Room. Not bad, smarter than the average thiller. The ending was a little odd, though.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 "I'm still waiting for Episode II even though it will probably suck just like Ep I." I'm getting the same feeling for Ep. II as I did for Jurassic Park III, and that's a bad thing...
Guest TUS_02 Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Well... I've been waiting for Panic ROom for a LOOOONNGGG time, so you know what the local theater does? It decides to show everything BUT Panic ROom... and I refuse to see Smoochy until I see Panic Room. So I saw LOTR.... again. But I will say that the Two Towers trailer puts Fellowship to shame.... I was so incredibly impressed with how TTT is going to look.
Guest areacode212 Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 "I'm Raoul" I just came from seeing Panic Room this afternoon. Jodie Foster & Forest Whitaker were both pretty good, it had some tense moments and some fancy camera work. The story was predictable--anyone who has seen a thriller will see a lot of things coming--and there was at least one REALLY GLARING plot hole, which they alluded to in a cutesy way. Still, it was an interesting concept for a movie, and the directing made it fun to watch. Oh, and the movie takes place a block from my house, so that earns it some extra coolness points
