Raven and Douglas are awful and Disco can't be taken seriously. Jarrett can't do the work of three men. I thought for sure someone would fall off the cage (which was alot taller looking than the old WCW cages...and without the catwalk at the top or wires to hold onto) but thankfully no one did. Damn, I can't tell the difference between the two these days except for the X-Division and the TNA dancers. Speaking of TNA's booking being similar to WWE's, I now officially declare AJ Styles the weakest-booked World Heavyweight Champion since Chris Jericho. He destroyed D'lo after the match. You are just used to HHH's unstoppable push. I have a feeling they are grooming D'lo to be the next contender for the world title after AJ gets done with this Jarrett match he has to do within the next two weeks. How did AJ win the NWA World Heavyweight title: With the help of an authority figure named Vince. What happened after Jericho won the Undisputed title? He won over Stone Cold in a Cage match only because Booker T came out and helped Jericho. What happened after AJ won the NWA title? He lost cleanly in a tag match against Jarrett, and this week, Russo had to help AJ Styles beat up D-Lo Brown while AJ's main offense in this match was brawling instead of the familiar high-flying we're used to seeing from him. Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Yeah, Raven's injury made the whole hot tag feel kind of off to me. Like he did the running splash all slow, ran off the ropes slow, etc, as compared to his usual burst of energy leading up to the running knee lift. I am getting tired of seeing non-finishes to our main events, they need to cut back. I assume this means Sabin has to defend against Kazarian now, right? Good stuff, but I think it'll be tough to follow up their match tonight, which was really good. Sabin is quickly becoming one of my favourite wrestlers. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted June 26, 2003 7. Jarrett & Raven beat Gilberti & Douglas in 11:05 via DQ when Mitchell threw fire at Raven. What I liked about the match is that Raven did a plancha right away and acted like he twisted his ankle. He sold his ankle on every step he took for the next 10:00. It was awesome. I bet almost everyone thought he was really hurt. The bad is I found out with my own eyes about Douglas in Australia, except he wasn't in Australia. He looked bad and parts of the match were pretty messed up. Crowd was into Douglas as a new main eventer. The wear and tear of all the work is starting to show in Jarrett. The Trintity thing doesn't make sense, but I guess they needed a woman with SEX since Desire is hurt. Im surprised no one complained about Bitchslap being gone. I like Bitchslap. And if you watched earlier, Mitchell appeared in the main event because Douglas made a deal with the devil. Who betta than Mitchell? Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted June 26, 2003 My thoughts on the show: It was excellent. Some have accused me of never giving credit to Russo. Well I will tonight, since his "crash TV" formula of nonstop action worked...mostly because he allowed it to be nonstop wrestling and action, instead of boring promos full of insider stuff and cursing. -The cage match was seriously awesome, MOTYC by far. An exciting cage match with tons of great and smart spots for 30 minutes to start of the show. -Then, immediately after Dlo and Styles have an intense match in the cage, and even though it had a non finish, its ok since it shouldn't have been a match anyway. -Lynn/Credible was a creative brawl that ws much more satisfying then last week. -Xdivision match was really good. Great creative spots, and ANOTHER clean finish! -Even Kash vs. Watts was good, I thought Kash totally carried this one to something good. -New Jack and Shark Boy seriously crack me up. -I even laughed at Team Pothead's parody this week unlike last week. -Second hour lost a little steam. I liked the idea of the main event but to say it was sloppy would be an understatement. Just a trainwreck of a match with a seriously blown finish that dragged things down further. -Otherwise it was nearly a perfect show.
