Guest TheMikeSC Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 - Calling Hillary Clinton fat on national television (um... wtf?!) I seem to remember Linda Tripp and Katherine Harris getting FAR worse treatment. -=Mike
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Not on mainstream news programs.
Guest TheMikeSC Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Not on mainstream news programs. Liberal commentators were vicious to both women. And, since when have you believe that H & C was "mainstream" --- or a news program? -=Mike
Guest MrRant Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 I would just like to say I would still hit that shit because she probably is wild in bed. *MrRant runs*
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 That particular comment was on the Today show.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Yeah, she pretty much did the rounds this week. She even did "The View" and made a joke about how the last time she saw lesbian sex was when Katie Couric interviewed Hillary. Basically, she's an attention whore. And if you want to "hit that shit", I bet you're hoping she's another type of whore, too
Guest Ronixis Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 I think she a new type of whore-- I just heard on Drudge Report- (I met the guy back some months ago, he's cool) she stated in her book (The new one) that it was, get this... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): J. Edgar Hoover was not in favor of the plan to intern the Japanese in the Second World War... This is like...WTF? Fine, she's the Consertive Version of Sable, shes fuckable, but damn ugly on the inside- but these words are like saying Megatron wanted the Matrix by himself, because you cant let Mindess Contruction Bots, do the work of the "REAL" defenders of Cybertron...
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Her book is full of revisionist history, including a pointless screed about how Joseph McCarthy was misunderstood. Whatever.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Wasn't Ann the cuntbag that called Rock a "skinhead" at the Republican Convention 3 years ago?
Guest JMA Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Liberal commentators were vicious to both women. It wasn't just liberals. EVERYONE was vicious to them. Comedians especially.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Her book is full of revisionist history, including a pointless screed about how Joseph McCarthy was misunderstood. Whatever. Everyone should read the Venona papers. The gov't had intercepted conversations between Moscow and people like Alger Hiss, and the Rosenburgh's. These people weren't just party members, but active spies for the enemy.
Guest cartman Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 This broad is completely rediculous. Every time I see her on the panel of Bill Maher's show "Real Time" I know i'm in for a great night of laughter.
Guest Razor Roman Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Wasn't Ann the cuntbag that called Rock a "skinhead" at the Republican Convention 3 years ago? I thought that was Brent Bozell that called the Rock a skinhead. In spite of the fact that he a) has hair and b) is black. I think Coulter has a lot of good points, but then again I'm pretty far to the right of center. I am also a big Hannity mark. I don't find Coulter attractive though. She needs a little more meat on those bones.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 The skinhead comment might not involve Coulter at all. I remember back in 2000 Time Magazine's Margaret (sp?) Carlson made a remark about a WWF wrestler at the RNC. She said she couldn't believe Republicans would have a skinhead at the function, or something of that nature. Personally, I believe she was thinking of Stone Cold instead of the Rock. I remember watching her say this on CNN's Capital Gang and laughed at her, like I normally do whenever I read her garbage. I know Brent Bozell didn't want Rock there, and there was some campaign done to prevent The Great One from appearing, but nothing came of it. I don't recall him making a skinhead remark...
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 It was Carlson, I just checked.
Guest Razor Roman Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 It was Carlson, I just checked. Tucker Carlson is a moron. Him and Novak are fake conservatives, brought out there to put over the awful team of Begala & Carvile.
Guest JMA Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Tucker Carlson is a moron. Him and Novak are fake conservatives, brought out there to put over the awful team of Begala & Carvile. You mean like how Colmes is there to put over your buddy, Sean Hannity? Come on. Novak is on other CNN shows (Judy Woodruff's, for example) and is generally a respected guy. You may be right about Carlson, but not Novak. Crossfire is still better than Hannity and Liberal To Be Named Later.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 It was Carlson, I just checked. Tucker Carlson is a moron. Him and Novak are fake conservatives, brought out there to put over the awful team of Begala & Carvile. We weren't talking about Tucker (or at least I wasn't). I was talking about Margaret (sp?). LOL -- so this Capital Gang comment somehow got morphed into Coulter and Bozell calling the Rock a skinhead? This is like playing a game of telephone on the Internet...
Guest Vern Gagne Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Tucker is a moron. The guys got no spine.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Any update on when Carlson will be eating his shoes?
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Back to the Coulter topic, here are two critiques of her new book. Ouch. http://www.spinsanity.org/columns/20030630.html http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...9-2003Jul1.html
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Read a lot of this at the library while waiting for the bus the other day. Crap. And not even good crap. "The O'Reilly Factor" was a guilty pleasure because he was telling me in a condescending manner the whole book how to better my life by living more like him. Even when I agreed with the guy I still felt insulted more often than not, so it was quality crap. "Stupid White Men" is just like what's above, except it was more offending instead of insulting. I was pretty sad though that Amazon.com lured me in with Bush bashing and the rest of the book was pretty lull after that. The Savage Nation feels like Michael Savage had someone write down what he said as he rambled away on the radio. This book was telling me that I was basically giving America to the Communists and the radicals. I'd call it the Art Bell of political pundit books, but that's not really a fair comparison because not only is it wild and unrealistic but it's hateful, too. But this new Coulter book just blows like a tornado. Instead of being Self-Help For The Helpless like O'Reilly's book or saying I'll end the free world like Savage, this book's message is a simple "I have seen Americana and you are not it." I could visit a number of conservative sites (and have) to find Coulter-likes and some who are better at this than she is. Truth be told, I am wasting time and money reading Coulter for entertainment when I could just visit Lucianne Goldberg's site and find people who seriously think we should use nuclear arms on any country that even slightly opposes us. And better yet, I can get this for free. She obviously cannot afford to be Savage or the online peoples, because she craves attention and going from radical to outright ludicrous will reduce her appearance schedule. Thus, Coulter-isms are limited to offensive little soundbytes, such as the invade/assasinate/convert comment she made (which she now claims is two-thirds government policy, making her "correct" all along.) This will ensure that she doesn't offend too many while ensuring she stays on public radar screens where BUSINESS IS ABOUT TO PICK UP, BAH GAWD.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Wasn't Ann the cuntbag that called Rock a "skinhead" at the Republican Convention 3 years ago? I thought sexist slurs like the 'c' word weren't allowed. Ann Coulter just comes off like this ass when I see her on TV. It's very hard to take anything she says seriously.
Guest godthedog Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 i've said "cunt" several times on the board, well before eyebrow got banned, & nothing happened to me.
Guest JMA Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 You can't say "cunt"? Since when? And how exactly is it sexist?
Guest DrTom Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 And how exactly is it sexist? Tell me you don't really need that answered for you.
Guest JMA Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Tell me you don't really need that answered for you. No, I guess I can see how it would be sexist. Is there a male version of the word by any chance?
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 No, I guess I can see how it would be sexist. Is there a male version of the word by any chance? Cock, of course.
Guest JMA Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Wait, I've never heard anyone say the word "cock" is a sexist remark. Something isn't right here...
