Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted June 28, 2003 OK other than it being very odd that a man who doesn't make his own rhymes and got over on account of being friends with Mase and BIG he's now saying these kids don't love hip hop because they can't sing Juicy in tune.... WHAT?!??!!!!?!?!?!?!?! a.)It's a solo song. b.)It's not the epitome of hip hop. It's beat is jacked for crying out loud. c.) The fucking R&B singer rather than practicing the chorus has to know the rap part?!! Why? can someone tell me why the R&B singer has to know the rap part? Babs and Sara Stokes are the only ones I like anyway but come on...
Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted June 28, 2003 A General rule with music....know the most famous songs by the biggest aritist you signed with. It really holds true when it was only 8 years ago and ALWAYS gets play EVERYWHERE. Omitting one line from that song is understandable. And to say Puffy made it big in the music word because he was friends with Biggie and Mase, such a sad false retarded statement.
Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted June 28, 2003 I'm not gonna say Puffy doesn't have any charisma which is what made him so popular but everyone loved him to death when he was friends with Mase. I have no gripes with knowing the biggest songs of your label. I actually didn't think too ill of him before this but to tell someone they don't love hip hop because they can't sing a song that's not supposed to be done with 5 others? That's ludicrous. It's also another thing that Diddy himself shouldn't be in a place to judge anyone's skill when he doesn't even make his own rhymes.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted June 28, 2003 Mase is 10 times better then Puffy will ever be.
Guest Shanghai Kid Report post Posted June 29, 2003 Mase himself is garbage so that's not saying much... I can understand it though, most people would put Juicy on their top 10 rap singles of all time. And the lyrics are describing their situation of going from nothing to something quickly. Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted June 29, 2003 I like the song too but come on, you don't know the words to a song with a jacked beat by a dead guy and that makes you a poseur? I myself know the words to the song so it's not as if it offends me personally.
