Guest The Decadent Slacker Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I was just thinking, that was a pretty kick ass system in my youth. Anyone remember it? it wasn't around long, i don't think, but it had Bonk dammit. The caveman with the big fucking head who ate meat & headbutted things.
Guest Smues Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I had one, but of course I could never find a copy of bonk. I was stuck with legendary axe 2, some LAME basketball game, and keith courage in the alpha zones. Fear keith courage and his ever expanding in length light sword thingy! Because remember, the world has been taken over by aliens, but the few survivors still charge you cash for help!
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I remember it, but I never knew anyone who actually had one. The only thing I remember about it is that it didn't have cartridges like Nintendo or Sega.
Guest Cavi Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Yeah, I have both a TG-16 and a TurboExpress. A little wrestling game called Battle Royale sold me on it. Having five wrestlers on-screen at once seemed like such a huge deal.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I knew a buddy who had Turbo Grafix -- I liked my Genesis better...
Guest Youth N Asia Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 That was the only system to do Splatterhouse right. Devil's Crush was a great pinball game. Bonk was cool. And Keith Courage was cool. I liked the system, had one when I was younger.
Guest Cavi Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 The TG-16 was indeed the only console to see the first Splatterhouse, but its two sequels both appeared on the Genesis. Wonder if Namco will ever do another. Been rumored about for years.
Guest razazteca Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 It was the 1st system to use the CD, I think. The greatest Castlevania Dracula X is on it and is a bitch to burn.
Guest Sakura Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 It is the only console to have Street Fighter II'(AKA: Street Fighter II Champion Edition).
Guest TheArchiteck Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 I had it.... The scream on Battle Royale was very funny at that time. When you eliminated someone.....they just gave the most horrific sounding scream. Its that stock scream thats been used in movies before.
