Guest DrTom Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 Or how about Presence? Actually, I'm a big fan of Presence. Not as good as II or IV, and probably not as good as III, but still very, very solid work.
Guest justsoyouknow Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 I'm incredibly upset that AC/DC didn't make it to the finals, but they would've just gotten burried by the clear winner..... Black Sabbath
Guest godthedog Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 tom's right. 'presence' is a tad uneven, but the good stuff rules it hardcore. "achilles last stand," "nobody's fault but mine," and "tea for one" are as good as anything they ever did. and they take up like 60% of the record.
Guest Vitamin X Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Sabbath. I encourage doing an ACTUAL TSM Metal Tourney
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Well, at least you're not defending In through the Out Door. By the way, wasn't Achilles Last Stand on IV?
Guest godthedog Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 nope. i wish it was though, in place of "misty mountain hop"...i can't stand that one.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 That's another thing that bugs me about Zeppelin. All of their albums have a song I find really irritating.
Guest godthedog Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 eh...so do the velvet underground, but it doesn't change my opinion of them by much.
Guest Scarlet Pimpernel Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Incidently, Presence is Page's favourite album, apparently because all the tunes came to him within a week. To each his own, I guess.
