Guest Choken One Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 I dig Jericho but couldn't they chop the Dawn segment and just gave us full owen/bret?
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 Bret was born in 1958. Thus he was 36. If he was born in 58 and this is 1996, how was he only 36?
Guest Choken One Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 So next week will be another WM Classic? Knowing WWE it will be HBK/Ramon AGAIN... Give us Savage/Warrior or something ya bitches...
Guest godthedog Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 he was 39 when he did the 'i quit' match with austin though. think about THAT.

LaParkaYourCar Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 Bret was born in 1958. Thus he was 36. If he was born in 58 and this is 1996, how was he only 36? WrestleMania X was in 1994.

Anyway, what's funny about the match is that under today's rules it would have lasted a minute long. Owen tapped the mat while in Bret's headscissors.

Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 I know I'm supposed to mark out for Vince's commentary, but I'd rather hear Gorilla who's sitting right there doing the Radio WWF commentary. Heh, I LOVE Gorilla on commentary. I mark out everytime he says to whoever he's commentating with "Will you stop?" It's the best line ever, it really is. Plus, he'd bring out the L-word in a match . . . Logic. For instance, if during a tag match, 2 heels are double teaming a face and his partner tries to make the save, the ref will hold him back. Gorilla would just wonder aloud why that's going to stop him. If you're going into the ring, ya might as well go in all the way. I'd come up w/ more examples, but then I'd be here all night. BTW, "Will you Stop?!?" ranks right up there with "Sorry I asked!"

Guest godthedog Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 "Owen/Angle would've been better then Bret/Angle..." i disagree, i think bret & angle would compliment each other better. angle brings the great offense & the crazy ass bumps, bret brings the pacing and the brains. bret was THE man to carry a match, and angle is VERY carryable.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 After this...I'm breaking out the even BETTER televised Hart brother match... SummerSlam 94?
Guest Choken One Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 After this...I'm breaking out the even BETTER televised Hart brother match... SummerSlam 94? oh yea baby...
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 After this...I'm breaking out the even BETTER televised Hart brother match... SummerSlam 94? oh yea baby... Gotta agree with that one.
Guest Eagan469 Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 So is it officially called "The First Network For Men" now?
Guest Choken One Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 The Emotion and Drama of Slam 94 over rides the more "Scientific" match...
LaParkaYourCar Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 I may be impartial since I started watching wrestling in '94, but I think '94 was an awesome year in the WWF thanks to the Bret/Owen feud and Shawn Michaels heel antics.
Guest Choken One Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 So is it officially called "The First Network For Men" now? T.F.N.M Doesn't work.
Guest godthedog Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 i think i'll bust out their iron man match, haven't seen that in a while.

ChrisMWaters Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 ....BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! They messed up which PPV it was!
Guest CanadianChick Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 So is it officially called "The First Network For Men" now? You want to know what's funny? I watch a "men's network" much more than a "women's network". Hell, I NEVER watch the women's network.
